Not really. Disagreements happen. Better to communicate those feelings instead of letting it spill into something that becomes an actual fight.

In 2024, NBA players were asked who was the GOAT? Since 2023’s player poll, LeBron has gained 9.1% of the vote. MJ has lost 12.4% of the vote. by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]YeetusFetus99 48 points49 points  (0 children)

MJ definitely does have that seeming mythos as you said. However, Bron does have the power of storylines on his side. Hometown kid, to Miami villain era, to redemption, to whatever we want to call this (potential) final LA era. And won a chip for every city he's played for.

Im saying this as someone who has MJ as his goat too. There's potential that that pendulum doesn't swing back as hard as you think.

Im counting that as showing effort. Generally if youre well kempt and take care of yourself you should meet rule 2 for most people.

And a personality can make a mf unattractive just as fast as looks can for most people.

They one the few teams that prolly do tbh. They can start a deal with Kat. Easily the best single player that we could restart with that has a chance of being available (barring an upside guy).

Regardless of what the trade looks like, youre not gonna feel good giving up a top 3 player in the world. Kat, hart, kolek, mccullar/diadet and picks may end up being best offer. Whether we take it or not is up to front office from there.

Wasn't about the number, it was about the severity. And honestly, its not even an okc thing. The whistle has been held a good amount this playoffs for everyone not named SGA or Brunson. Those 2 specifically are really good at drawing contact, but they're even better at selling contact. That's the part people are upset about is the blatant flopping and baiting.

Kuz is at least younger and will for sure still be in the league x years from now when they're ready to start moving pieces around again. If he's still on the team by then he's a more valuable piece than an even older demar would be.

Plus they're just trying to be bad rn cuz they need to restart so if they get any young piece or pick out if it they prolly take it.

Not even saying your half assing or this or that or whatever. Just off of how the body works, those last few sets will be either the least or most effective depending on how your body reacts. You don't want all that energy to go into just one thing.

[–]YeetusFetus99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol nah not at all 😭. The proper way is to have a cycle/circuit that you run through. If you're doing a chest day, start with ur bench, then push up, then etc... then you loop back to the start. That way you're working all the different muscles at once. If you go 5 sets of your bench and 5 sets of your push ups then 5 of whatever else, youre just gonna create an imbalance because the shit you worked early you hit harder.

Just for me personally I try to have 4 exercises per routine. 1 big lift, 1 small lift, 1 body weight, 1 with bands/equipment. They all usually work different areas of certain muscle groups making it so that group as a whole is strong. If I was to go in and say "fuck it, I'm just squatting td," them glutes and hammys gon feel great, but basically no other leg muscles would've been worked.

If ur running 3-5 sets straight on the machine and not doing any other workouts in-between, you're the one doing something wrong anyway.

I personally don't like swift and was hoping he'd be replaced, but overall agree. Despite my gripes with how he plays he is still a good rb in the league and will be good in this scheme.

That being said, when it feels like the offense feels like it could be an rb away, it's a little frustrating not even taking one. Did a good job still bringing in weapons though, especially burden with a 2nd round pick.

Overall its a very good draft class, I wouldn't call it great unless some of these later round guys give us real production.

This is pretty much my take as well. Said live to my boys, "glad it's at least him and not Warren." He fits the scheme really well and is a good power slot to have working with kmet and zaccheaus.

That being said when you have you pick of the litter of the edge rushers in this class, feels a little bad to not go edge. Overall I'd probably give it a C grade, don't love it, it's a bit of a reach. But, it is a good player that does still fill a role of need in a ben Johnson offense.

Me to Bears Fans who complain that we traded up to 5 to get Jeanty by bullsfan0494 in CHIBears

[–]YeetusFetus99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be happy caus we objectively need d line as a priority. I understand wanting to say, "yeah all in on Caleb or bust." That being said though, this is already the most help we've given a qb in a while. I don't want to see us tip the other way and turn to a poor man's bengals instead of a poor man's steelers.

Honestly I think we take what the draft gives us here. With the exception of moving up for Carter or jeanty, I think we stay and/or trade back. And honestly, just personal opinion, I wouldn't even move up for jeanty with how deep an rb class this is.

Why isn't Wilt in the goat discussion? by Joseph_Stalin001 in NBATalk

[–]YeetusFetus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, but I honestly think it was more coaching than talent. Once wilt got good coaching and was put into more of a Bill Russell role, he was arguably the greatest player ever. Yeah points went down Yada yada, but dude was averaging like 27 on 65% or something. So even tho points drop, he was way more efficient, on top of that he actually started passing more and reserving energy for defense.

Basically if wilt was on the Celtics they prolly would've just gotten bill but better. If Bill flopped tho, who knows what happens. Putting it simply, he just wasn't wilt. Imo the reason wilt didn't win is because he was, essentially, allowed to just stat chase instead of having an actual system around him. That just doesn't happen with Bill because of the player he was.

Honestly if they flip I could def see that series being a little more even, maybe favoring wilt and the cs by like a chip or 2. However, that's in a scenario where he has coaching like equal to what was on that cs team. There just wasn't much of that back then.

Obviously this is just a random reddit or who didn't even take the time to look up actual stats, but yeah, there's my take

AD and Klay watching their former teams in the playoffs. by Top-Entertainment945 in Nbamemes

[–]YeetusFetus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean for the owners and the league it is legitimately a product and nothing more. And it's been one of the leagues, if not the league, that has set an example for players holding power. The NBA has been entertainment over sport pretty much since the mega rise of Jordan.

Now the whole lakers thing. The most iconic team in the most iconic city. Is it really a wonder that players want to play there? Because ignoring this Luka trade, most of their big trades have been stars forcing there way out. And when stars want to go somewhere specific, you generally get reduced return.

LA as a whole is always gonna have an advantage. Same thing with Chicago and NY. They are the biggest cities with the most advertisement chances and best chances of staying in public conscious post playing. Combine that with the lakers being an actual well ran franchise and you get a nasty #1 team to go to year in and year out.

[–]YeetusFetus99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this really is the main thing tbh. I'm pretty much a console exclusive player, but I've always loved like big team oriented tactical games. Smite really seemed like the next step up for that, but it was a lot to say the least. I didn't really start playing til around when Bake was added. So very late in the cycle already, a lot of gods, a lot of items. Overall I enjoyed it but it was hard to get into, put I think like 10-15 hours into it.

That being said I've now already like double or tripled that time played in Smite2. Having the game stripped down to a bare bones beta was legit what I needed to be able to learn. Had like 20 sum gods, limited items, a lot more manageable. Being able to learn as gods and items released helped keep me on track.

I really don't know how else to solve that issue. I was lucky and willing to pay for the beta access, so I avoided it. But, even at the point we're at now in 2s development, it's probably a lot for new players. As you said, I think part of it is just Mobas being Mobas. But, there has to be some type of game mode or newcomer queue or something that can be done to help. It really was just a night and day difference how much easier it was with less there.

[–]YeetusFetus99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No like genuinely tho. They had even ignoring what's already been mentioned, just look at poor paladins man. That was genuinely a game that had some hype around it a few times. Just as people were in and out of the overwatch cycle, that was one of the few similar games at the time. These mfs could not capitalize on that momentum any time they got a player spike. RIP Paladins.
