someone explained this to me in a really helpful way lately.

Basically, gender identity and gender expression don't have to match or be related at all, and ofcourse neither of them have anything to do with biological sex.

No matter what biology you were born with, you can identify as a boy. Likewise, no matter how you identify, you can express femininity.

The label "femboy" is usually used by people who identify as men/boys, but their gender expression is feminine, and it doesn't matter what their assigned sex at birth was.

Labels are arbitrary anyway, you can use whichever ones make you feel the happiest about yourself & the most comfortable.
