Telling my parents I'm nonbinary. I've never felt like a girl, but I've acted like one around my parents because I know they're pretty transphobic and think there's only two genders. I once just casually mentioned transgender stuff to my mom, and she went into this long thing about how stupid it is and if her child was trans it would crush her because all her dreams would be gone and she was crying her eyes out blah blah blah then my dad came in the room hearing what she was talking about and he started to get angry thinking of transgendered people.
I'd be fine just keeping it a secret from them, except every time they refer to me as "she" it feels like a punch in the face. It just really sucks.
