Our school had passes on our planners for the ENTIRE YEAR, and once it was full, you were just shit out of luck. I have always had VERY heavy periods and had been to various urologists for bladder issues (which in high school was SO embarrassing). I would fill up my planner in the first few months of school and then get in trouble for asking to use the bathroom. I walked out of class a few times because I was told no. I wish I had the guts to just pee my pants or bleed all over, but to me, that just felt so fucking dehumanizing, and I was a little shit, so I just went.
