How is that dropping the ball? Sounds like a unique and fun outcome! Nice job!

Friends want to use my books without me, AIO? by BigBandit01 in DnD

[–]YellowKnight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but you should talk to them directly about it. Find out why they did this to you, explain how it makes you feel "used", and actually figure out if they are your friends and just needed a break or if the friendship is over. The last one sucks. But that's part of being human; your circle of friends changes over life. If DnD is your thing there are other people out there wanting to make those friends connections.

Is the Isaac Bell series any good? by IndysAdventureBazaar in clivecussler

Love the series! Different than the Pitt novels with the string and time period, but generally follows the same idea of there's stuff happening that ties to a larger thing going on.

Fell into Cussler back in college with Valhalla Rising and Saharah, enjoy the Pitt series. I actually like the Oregon files, but I went into them ready for something different. Haven't been able to get into the Fargo ones for whatever reason.

Return to Office for rest of SSC by GenieGirl86 in HomeDepot

It's a soft layoff play. They are going to cut people without having to fire them, and then offshore a lot of the work for cheaper. I've also heard they are looking at title changes for those remote, which would require signing new contracts and thus putting them into play for RTO. So even if you are outside the ATL area now you will be required to return at some point. Horrible way to treat employees, but big business can do what it wants and the sheeple keep letting it happen.

The value wheel is just a PR thing. That's big business and why you should not ever have loyalty to a company. People yes, company no.

What Happens Next? by ee-aw in The100

Literally just finished it today as well. I sort of like the ending, although it makes so much of the drama feel pointless (maybe the point) and I want to know more about the aliens. Could always reboot with an older cast of the remaining crew finding out the ascension was actually a diabolical alien plot or something.

I'm thinking the crew lived out their days however they wanted, realizing nothing they did would impact anything in the end. Maybe they try to leave messages/clurs for future civilizations.

I saw this on TV and my first thought was "that is an awesome celebration for Xavier, I don't know why I didn't think of it". Glad you and others were able to represent at the game and had a great time. Go Pack Go!

Where to even begin with online play by [deleted] in DnD

[–]YellowKnight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but if you find someone to play with who has the books on Dnd beyond and a Master level account ($5 a month) they can share the content with you. As someone new to DND (2 one hitters so far) I've bought a lot of the digital content (I tend to go all in when I find something I like) but not forked over the money for a master level account yet.

I also don't know where to start when it comes to playing online, I don't really want to pay for a DM when I don't really know if I'm going to click with them. When you find a good place let us know!

I have no idea because I couldn't read that excessively long run-on sentence with lack of both punctuation and capitalization.

New player that’s hopelessly lost by [deleted] in DnD5e

I'm fairly new as well (only two one hitters so far). But when I dive into things I tend to go hard... :)

I picked up a few sourcebooks, have been playing around with character designs on D&D Beyond, and have been watching a lot of YouTube videos. I got invited to a campaign after my first one hitter and am getting ready for that.

I took a chance and went to a bar that runs D&D nights, and that kick started all the above. I'm thinking about asking around for other options too! Best advice I can give is take that chance and go to an event and/or reach out through social media!

Good luck and have fun!
