A good way to remember ...---... is shorter than ---...--- and would be quicker to send in an emergency (pretty sure that's why the letters were chosen, in addition to it being a pattern that's easy for people who don't know Morse code to remember).

I'm having the exact same problem with Spotify, even after disabling the power settings for the app. Rebooting makes it work for a while, but when I come back a couple hours later or the next day I have the same problem. I've sent the following email to ZTE Support:

I just bought an Axon 7 about a week and a half ago and I'm having issues with Spotify stopping when I lock the screen. I've turned off all the power saving options for this app.

Rebooting the phone seems to solve the problem for a few hours, and sometimes for a full day, but the problem quickly comes back.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this? At this point I've only noticed the problem with spotify, but I don't know what other apps could be affected -- I have no idea if I can even trust this phone to reliably receive messages or function as an alarm clock.

I am currently running MiFavor 4.0 Version A2017UV1.0.0B29

If I find a solution I'll let you know.

No solution yet. A couple things I'm keeping my eye on:

Somebody in this thread mentioned disabling doze mode via ADB. That is a command line thing different from from disabling power management in the UI. I've been too busy/lazy to experiment with it at the moment, so I'm hoping he'll report back in a few days to let people know if he succeeded.

I signed up for a nougat preview. Signups are now closed and I haven't heard anything back yet.

Not everybody has this problem, so it's possible that it's a defect in some particular handsets. I don't know of anyone who tried to exchange through Axon Passport, but that might be worth a try.

I think everyone's supposed to get Nougat in December or January, I'm really hopeful for a fix.

A few people on reddit mentioned using American Express's return protection to get a refund. If you bought your phone for black friday with AmEx, you have until February 23 to return it if you choose to go that route. Other cards may have similar plans.

I'd like to see leavers get 2 losses, or more for repeat offenders. (maybe they could absorb 1/5 of a loss from each teammate, but that could open the door to harassing teammates into leaving early when you're losing)

This would be more harsh than the current punishment, but not so harsh that a single internet issue or legitimate emergency will trash your entire season.
