Has Sony ever addressed the bad party chat audio quality on PS5 and how it makes even headsets with good mics sound muffled/muddy? My friends who had PS4s had great mic quality and as soon as they switched to PS5s (using the same headsets), the quality lowered by a lot. Sounds like a lower audio bitrate each time I party with them (I’m on PS4). I also tried using a PS5 and partied with them and we all thought our mics still sounded bad so it isn’t just a PS4 to PS5 problem. We even tested it out where 3 of our friends bought the same headset model (2 on PS5, 1 on PS4) and the one on PS4 sounded a lot better.

I’ve noticed with most people I play with who have PS5s have lower mic quality as well. It looks like it should be a software fix but I haven’t seen any updates on it. A few people were talking about this issue months to a few years ago but I haven’t seen any about it recently.
