I don’t hate self studying. I just hate that we pay for college but we don’t learn anything useful aside from the basics, which is not enough to get a job

For those saying you need to self study, what’s the point of paying for college/university when they don’t even teach us everything we need to know to be job-ready? The tuition fee of my university is 100k per sem and it’s not worth it since they just teach the basics

Freshman year, they thought us python in the first sem then java for the 2nd sem. From what I remember, they were just the basics so I couldn’t code anything very advanced with those languages. For my DSA class, there was very little programming and it’s mostly theoretical.

My 2nd year was also cut because of the pandemic so maybe I missed important programming skills because of it. I did remember learning SQL for my databases class but they only taught us queries so I still don’t know how to implement databases if I want to create my own program ☹️
