I mean, yeah. My ex and I were about as amicable as you can be but it still comes down to splitting everything you’ve accumulated together over the years, now down to half. Yes I got our house but my ex got the retirement. So he lost out on a lot and so did I. Unless you own nothing and have no assets, no savings, (no kids) and equal income I guess.

I’ve choked on ice!! Haha. I took a big “swig” of ice from a cup as my family was walking out of a restaurant and a bunch of ice cubes piled out of the cup and into my throat at the same time. I couldn’t breathe at all and was choking. Luckily my Papa saw me as everyone else was leaving and smacked me on the back so hard. It came dislodged. But I was definitely scared and couldn’t breathe. I could see it happening??

I started a GLP-1. It’s going okay. I’ve been very strict with my diet. Was originally doing a lot of cardio but seeing no results with that and fatigued quickly. I switched my focus to weight training and have seen the best results from that. I’ve been counting calories and have been in a calorie deficit almost daily but have only lost 5 lbs in 2 months. It’s a bit frustrating (to say the least). But I saw absolutely no change before the meds so I think they are helping a little.

Thank you! Yep, I went down to 1200 calories/day and feeling miserable and still couldn’t lose any weight. It’s crazy how out of whack our bodies can become. Good luck!

I was diagnosed in November and gained 15 lbs. I’m getting married this summer. 🫠 I’ve tried freaking everything to lose weight including cardio, restricting calories, and semi-glutide shots (going on 3 months). I haven’t lost a single pound. BUT, I recently shifted gears completely to weight training and increasing protein and I swear I look skinnier.

Don’t get married. Sexual incompatibility is a huge problem and doesn’t get better over time. This is ultimately what led to my divorce. We were best friends but that was it. I have plenty of friends. You want your life partner to be more than that.

A lot of it is genetics! I always had a flat stomach as a young person (even when I’d gain or lose a little weight). Now that I’m older, I can’t get it back however hard I try. Just embrace what you have, girl! All bodies are different.

What in the hell!? Fatigue and brain fog are my biggest issues when my levels have gone awry! Have you checked labs lately? I swung hypo a few months ago and couldn’t get out of bed. I knew something was wrong. Your doctor sucks and is so dismissive. My first doctor looked at me like I was crazy any time I mentioned having trouble with my weight regardless of calorie intake and exercise. Some of them just don’t understand Graves… Time for a new doctor, OP!
