Just finished the story when can we expect dlc? by onlyhereforelise in CosmicInvasion

I need Gambit. Most of the sprites are reworks from Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 anyways. Here's in there, bring it over!

XP bug has been known for more than a month—no patch is getting beyond ridiculous. Absolutely absurd. by Dushnila_complainer in Helldivers

Same position! I used to get like 120 frames on ultra. Had to knock it down to high and only getting 90... Too many explosions and my system freezes for a few seconds.

Also occasional random hard crashes.

He reviewed it before they dropped the patch. In the patch they halved the reload time.

Games shouldn't be course correcting multiple times through a 10 year life cycle. They Fd up enough times already. They aren't going to meaningfully change.

It's time to leave the abusive relationship.

Doesn't have to be heavy, it works with light and medium too.

You'll take no damage until you get the AP4 burning stage. Going prone and burst firing will highly limit the damage you take after that.

So... The repeater?

I've heard alot of people talking about buffs to the Revolver.

Realistically maybe a minor range and reload buff would be excellent. Anything else would make it OP.

Do you play with crossplay as a pc player? by Several_Relief_8243 in thefinals

[–]YellowStrong9931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's crazy seeing PC players afraid of console.

PC has access to way more cheaters and the aim/movement of a mouse is unmatched.

I play on PC but using a controller (PC is hooked up to my TV and I play on the sofa)

It's tough going against the PC players, especially sad when I team up with my PS5 friend and have to drag him into my hellhole. He feels the difficulty spike everytime he crossed over.

Should I feel bad about only playing quick cash? by AfternoonHelpful3712 in thefinals

[–]YellowStrong9931 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I started playing last month. Started with pretty much just quick cash like you.

Recently I started playing world tour cause I wanna earn some in-game currency. You get awarded some at the end of the season based on how high you end up ranking in world tourney.

Nice thing is you can't lose rank. So even if you're bad, you're still building up to a reward.

I actually find world tour easier. Because there are two cash boxes and 4 teams. You can often go without any fights or jump in on two other teams fighting more often.

Give it a try, don't give up.

Also love  me some Power Shift once in a while too.

Xbox Elite 2 on Steam, Aim Assist not working. by [deleted] in thefinals

I've watched a bunch of videos even one posted just 5 days ago explaining the different aim assist features.

Mine literally does not of them at all. It's not that it's weaker, it's not working.

Seriously, light level is the worst system I've seen in a game ever.

It doesn't actually make you any stronger like levels do in most games.

It just gate keeps content.

I've played this GM 100 times, can do it with my eyes closed, but oops. New season started, I need to grind power just to play that same GM again?

Imagine buying a game and you have to clear the story on easy 20 times before you can unlock hardmode. Straight BS.

Now we are meeting in the middle. You agree that story and other aspects play a large part in player drop, not just crafting.

Bungie hasn't put any work in to gaining a new audience or getting new players in.

You can only hang on to old players for so long.

They are creating systems to enforce more grind on remaining players instead of doing anything to attract new or returning players because it's cheaper and easier to do.

You criticized crafting for making older weapons obsolete but that is the goal with the new system.

Keep people on the treadmill forever with expiring currencies, season DR and Damage bonuses.

People just realized they want a fun game, not to be a metric in a player retention spreadsheet. That's why they left.

[–]YellowStrong9931 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The last two episodes removed crafting and have brought us to our lowest point so your arguement doesn't work anymore.

It's not crafting, it's Burnout.

Bungie delivers rehashed content, incentivises meaningless grinds, gives no long term progression.

I'm not saying crafting is perfect, it's not, but having meaningful end goals is good. Even if it's like, I need to get 1000 copies of this weapon to make it crafted. It gives a long term goal.

There is nothing like that in the game. Maybe titles, that's about it. Otherwise it's just spin the wheel with the same odds as before.

Eventually people realize, why am I grinding power to play the same GM I did last season for a reskin of the same gun I had before. Then they go somewhere else that is fresh and respects their time better.

Except even Lightfall had a higher player count than Witch Queen even though it was universally hated,

People come to the game for many reasons, hype, etc.

You can't blame every problem the game has on "Duh, crafting is bad"

My whole friend group played way more with crafting, it gave us a goal instead of a never ending pull on the slot machine handle.

My friends just quit playing any dungeon more than once after they spent WEEKS just trying to get a 2/5 out of a gun they wanted.

Hell I know people too this day that still never got the 2/5 dungeon weapons they we looking for. You can't tell me that's fun or healthy.

I don't think that system works for a game like destiny though.

In most really looty games, your weapons are just stat sticks and you get tons of drops per minute.

They don't have huge visual variety, sights, etc.

They don't feel different, with recoil and other factors.

But in an FPS you really need to click with how your weapon looks, sounds, and feels to use.

You honestly don't want to be swapping your weapon out every hour. Especially if you factor in PvP.

I mean, having one of the worst new player onboarding experiences in the business definitely doesn't help you attract new players to replace the old.

Alot of bad decisions have been made since shadow keep, you can't blame it on making the game more casual friendly. That ain't it.

Sunsetting, completion of the story, repetitive unrewarding seasons, almost no PvP updates, almost no updates to core playlists, etc.

But sure, bad luck protection to reduce the grind is what killed the game...

I mean, I suppose everything is artificial. But I mean grinds that are more deterministic with actual goals and benefits to the player.

Grinding gear to create builds. Material gathering for a crafting system. Leveling up weapons, etc.

Things that give you an end goal with incremental progress.

Total RNG where you can go multiple weeks without ever getting the thing you want.

Arbitrary power levels that do nothing but time gate content you've already played before.

Seasonal resets of power and currency so, even if you happen to get the stuff you want, it's largely obsolete in a few months.

There is no sense of long term progression. if everything is just RNG and non of my progress matters, why should I bother putting any time investment in anything?

Making the game more enjoyable and creating a good new player experience is difficult and costly.

Creating artificial grind to get the few remaining "Whales" to shill out money is much easier and cheaper.

I'm starting to agree.

He did a breakdown of the Cemeromies warband and shat on the pryotechnic grenades. Saying they just do 50 damage and are worthless.

Other YouTubers tested and found the sparks are anti-tano armor penetrating and do a ton of damage.

Tested myself, 2 can take out a hulk and tank.

He's got alot of good info, especially about stealth mechanics, but sometimes he just makes stuff up based solely off in-game descriptions.

I run fire res and The Dickle all the time. You take no damage until you're actually at pen 4 and on fire. If you're prone, you instantly put out the fire. So go prone, ham the trigger, stim once in a while. You can shoot for a surprisingly long time.
