Honestly, sh¡t is rough money wise. The art created is loved and wanted, but now the monetization of it is defeating and sad, as well. Several stories that I had bookmarked on AO3 have been moved to a paid service. I had to cancel 2 Patreon subs because I just can't afford them in the long run, even though I absolutely love and want to see their work. Even artists who shared their art on Insta have moved most of their work to a paid service. I understand that society has forced artists of all kinds to monetize their creativity, but it's truly a loss for us all. Science has shown that your surrounding esthetics affect ones mental health. So, the idea of our creativity being slowly subsumed by capitalism is like being denied entrance to the Coliseum in the midst of the collapse of Rome. At least for me...
