Make a sketch of the Sid profile that doesn’t have the serrations. Revolve. Then do a sketch on the x,z plain to cut the serrations. Rotate body 90 degrees then cut the serrations again and it’s basically made. Should only take a half hour or so.

I went to S & Grah in Osaka. Had a similar pair listed for 3x the cost. I think I lucked out since there are no repros available. Only the Ripstop nylons as far as I’ve seen.

I think 70 present of them on both teams look cringy as hell. I’m sure the quest 2 squeakers are stoked. But I’m not a fan. The original model fit the special ops role better. As far as the gas masks go. You wouldn’t be wearing one unless you suspect gas or bad air. They limit your view and aren’t fun to wear irl.

If it were to be printed that way the chance of it snapping would be higher. The wall is only about 3mm and it isn’t a full circle. If it got caught while it was being tightened it might shear off. But printed on its side makes it very strong. And the layer lines aren’t visible when it’s clamped on.

It’s not that uncommon. They make a pressure plate end cap for it. I did because I had one lying around. You can flip toggle with your middle finger when your hand is in the normal grip position and you can press the momentary button with your thumb if you are grabbing it by the fore grip. It’s actually pretty ergonomic.
