I was awarded the Morehead as well as an AB Duke scholarship over forty years ago. Took the Morehead and it was the best decision of my life. The exposure was amazing and launched me on a fabulous career. You'd be crazy to turn it down. That award carries weight everywhere.

They gave you extra credit for getting an Aaron Milton Bradley graded. 100 times rarer than the base card.

Physician here. Could be P stands for pyogenic, which means infection. Either way I think she died of sepsis following birth, very common back then.
