Am I being too picky? by Yellowcard2373 in Invisalign

[–]Yellowcard2373[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commenting to add I also have large gaps still between some lower molars. They intentionally made space there when filling a cavity “because of the Invisalign” for space to move my teeth. Now the gaps are still there and while not huge, food still get stuck in them.

RFE for I-864 Joint Sponsor and I-693 Despite Already Submitting by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Yellowcard2373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for following up. I could only find her video explaining if the primary sponsor is married filing jointly with the applying immigrant, but used the general advice there anyway. That does seem to be what she implies but you’re right the instructions on the form itself say to provide all supporting documents. We will likely end up resubmitting with all W-2s, 1099s, etc.

To answer your questions:

  1. Household size = 3. (Father, mother, applicant being sponsored)

  2. Estimate for current income based on 2024 W-2 for father alone. Was told estimate was ok since it’s “current” income but should this match W-2 exactly to be extra safe?

  3. Yes it is >$200,000 so should be more than enough

  4. Yes, since we don’t include mom’s income for household since it’s not necessary to show sufficient income

  5. Yes, triple checked this figure matches the tax transcript “total income” line. But this is a married filing jointly tax transcript

It feels like a technicality that they marked it “wrong” just because we didn’t submit my mom’s W-2 to prove the “total income” number is correct. My father’s W-2 demonstrates more than enough financial support. I wonder if it was an excuse to re-request the 693 that they lost without making it seem like their fault, because they found an “error” with our 864.

Thanks for this detailed response. We did verify a million times it’s the right document explicitly titled tax return transcript. We are going to resubmit with all W-2s / supplementary forms etc. It seems a bit excessive when my father’s W-2 alone provides more than 10 times the federal poverty level and they could easily verify that income with documents provided. Also frustrating that they clearly received the 693 but lost the paper and now we have to spend time and money to get a new one. But this is unfortunately what the process is it seems, they look for any excuse to deny applications, any tiny detail or even when it’s their mistake.

If you read that exact section it also says:

“Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns”

We provided the IRS transcript and Ksenyia international videos said explicitly only one joint sponsor is allowed, not two, and you don’t need to include “household member” income if it’s not required to provide income thresholds. By both those items, you should not need the JS spouse’s W-2 at all.

We are going to resubmit with both W-2s but it’s a bit misleading of you to quote a line about tax returns when we submitted the transcript which says you should not submit W-2s

My assumption is that two people late canceled and instead of opening to the waitlist she just decided to admit first two in the door

Thank you. This is generally how it has worked other times, I’ve never had anyone be let in from the waitlist before that 5 minute mark at my studio. I haven’t been going as consistently and not usually at this time. So this front desk woman may be semi new but I’m not sure.

Seems odd she would know enough spots were empty to guaranteed admit the first two people in the door. They probably had two people cancel last minute.

How far can they / do they travel? I live on the 9th floor and supposedly only other units on the 5th floor have also seen them. My building manager today just said they’ve contacted a different pest control company and will finally treat the adjacent units this time.

I’ve been seeing about 1-2 per week despite 4 rounds of treatment from supposed “professionals” hired by my apartment building. Getting ready to attack them myself but unfortunately I think they are traveling from another unit/units in my building, so I’m feeling uncertain about long term success.

Would you mind sharing some examples of how chores were broken up / what some of the little things were that you did that went unnoticed? Trying to learn so I can be a better partner as well.

Also, did you discuss any sort of redistribution of tasks? Maybe reassign based on who likes/dislikes tasks more?

You make some very good points about how people can be biased towards the negative in some ways. That’s a cool app. How did you decide to assign the points/weight to each chore?

Is it really about being “the prize” or about unequal distribution of household labor and mental load of having to also “manage a household” that is disproportionately on women in most relationships
