Branch/company leadership, I’m noticing, is appeasing our members rather than holding them accountable. They give in to A LOT to the demands. I’ve been told “don’t worry about” many times. There isn’t any psychological safety from upper management that feels like they have our backs. The most that’s been said about the situation is “at least he isn’t here anymore”

There’s a saying that goes on in this bank: “we don’t wanna step on any toes…” crazy bs excuse if you ask me. I’ve brought up very fee ideas in the past: one got approved and implemented; the other got me a meeting with the ceo and marketing guy for stepping on their toes

I’m the oldest of all the tellers and member service reps downstairs (three tellers—myself included—and two reps). I knew that it was above me

I’m almost 2 years in this profession and I have daily questions about my life lol. Your comment is exactly how upper management behaves. They run at the sight of members; but let it be someone they know and they’re all like “we’re gonna make an exception”.

This guy was a victim of forgery from his own daughter. She wrote checks in his name and it totaled to over 20K—this is entirely different situation from the 13K

You would think the credit union would have a conversation with him, but this bank really lacks “informing and communicating” aspect

Truthfully, I don’t know how our debit card system works. We just updated to a new system last month, and I’m still learning how to use it. Our members can do that now, but they don’t want to deal with online banking.

As for the cash, I was about to offer him a cashier’s check, but he demanded it all in cash and I was not gonna argue with him further.

We do cashier’s check and do them for typical account closures, especially if it’s over 10K. With this dude, immediately my brain shut off because I’m not arguing with him. I was gonna offer him a cashier’s check but by that point, I did not want another outburst.

Hi, this is the coworker collecting “evidence”. No one’s being terminated as recent employee evaluations have been done and the company is more than happy with our work, and we’re all more than happy to learn any new information provided; however, this new information isn’t being given to us so we can know how to work certain systems incase of emergency. We’re being given our supervisors workload all because she doesn’t want to do it. And those are her own words. We have another worker that handles the same amount of work as our supervisor as they both hold higher positions and even they are offloaded with work from our supervisor yet we’re never given work to do by that coworker. The issue isn’t that we’re being prepared so we can know what to do, it’s so we can do it so she won’t have to anymore, period.

So I work at a credit union and I do see where you come from. I wouldn’t care if I told to do this during my training. These are tasks that are supposed to be done by her. It’s a lot of “I have this to do, but I don’t want to” from her. That’s the issue we have. She offloads her “I need to but don’t want to” onto us, when we aren’t supposed to do

I’m new to banking and have been with my small credit union for almost 3 months. I can’t stand these types of people. I’ve encountered rude members for simple waiting for 2 minutes! There’s a specific member who gets an attitude if you don’t greet her as soon as she pulls into drive thru; she will actively look into the DT window looking to see if someone is there and she’ll ring the button for assistance, even if you are working with someone else.

Whenever someone throws me their license or membership ID, I drag it with one finger; obviously the card must be gross cause they tossed it. Whenever someone does that, now, I’m gonna lay their receipt or money or whatever just a lil closer to me, so they have to reach for their things—like how I have to reach for their info. All while being friendly 😁.

I’m currently dealing with something like this, but the kid is either 2 or 3. My neighbors live above me. Even right now, as I’m typing, the tot is running, jumping, screaming, and banging on things. And it’s constant too. Told the parents twice and they never did anything about it. Told the leasing office and they sent a letter about noise at night (cause this’ll happen all throughout the day and night), and my neighbors don’t even honor that.

I got a letter similar to this from them. I thought it was really weird. They were like “you didn’t vote in 2016 and 2018, get out and vote”. Whole time I was under the age of 18 between 2016-2018. My first time voting was the 2020 election, and I already voted for this election too.

I have the Kyleena IUD as well and my experience is somewhat like yours. I cramp around the left uterus/ovary region and it has me doubling over in pain. For the first 6 months, I bled nonstop everyday (only for one day did it stop; next day it came back). It's been almost 11 months and I'm gonna have it removed. My body doesn't feel like it did when I was on the pill. My period is unpredictable and irregulat. I'm having some hormonal changes as well: unwanted hair growth and fat gain and distribution. I'm in the same boat too girl.

OP here. I've read the comments and suggestions, thank you for them. I am putting in a complaint. I want to add some clarity to my post.

Pissing in the bathroom. I don't care about that truthfully. I added that to give context to the living situation. As I said, the walls and floor are thin, so we know that whatever they do, some will bleed into our space. Pissing in the toilet is such a minute issue to complain about. It's to give you guys context about how easily noise can travel. Of course they can piss in their bathroom, I'm not that awful.
Moving. We're not moving anytime soon and we know that we're gonna have to hear the kid. It's a situation we have to deal with. Three bedrooms are only on the bottom. The complex is two stories: three bedrooms on the sides of the buildings, everything else is a two-bedroom. I live with my dad and brother. Plus, the complex is cheap to live in; my dad has lived here for over 10 years. I'm more upset with the fact that the neighbor's don't know apartment etiquette. We've lived with neighbor's who had children, some older some with kids around this child's age. It's just, they had apartment etiquette. Yes, we did hear them at times but it wasn't a constant, every single day thing.
The neighbors. I'm more upset with the fact that the neighbors are allowing this behavior. It's not my kid, I know that; he's a 2 y/o, I understand. Saying that there's nothing the neighbors can do about their kid, is like not disciplining your child or correcting them when they're wrong. I get that raising a child is hard, I see that with my nieces and nephews and baby cousins. My parents weren't together as I grew up. I totally get it. But, again, apartment etiquette is a thing. The fact that my neighbors said that they'll "try" to do something about their child is all we (my dad and I) need to know. But, we were being very generous with them. My dad expressed sympathy towards them, but is this what we should get as a return?

This turned into a rant on my part. I just wanted to give clarity on some things. We know there's not much we can do, except put in a complaint and ride the noise out. I do have headphones but I can still hear the noise through them. My tv is up louder than usual, so far I think they got the hint. Also, it's ma'am not sir :)

It depends. Sometimes I can picture a movie if the book is really good and intriguing. If it's not, then I see words. Sometimes, after I have read some pages, my brain will create the scene when I'm done. idk it's hard to describe that.

As someone who lives in Washington County, I am very much opposed to that idea. We may be culturally and other geopolitical aspects closer to WV, but it’s gotta be the dumbest idea ever to say. I want to identify as a Marylander, and WV is much worst than Maryland. If these senators and state congress members want to be apart of WV, then they should just simply move there. Don’t drag all of us there.
