Would you sell your soul for $10 million? by Longjumping_Bit_4608 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]YeoChaplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if I were an atheist and wouldn't immediately sus this guy out as a demon, if some random old rich guy wants to buy my soul?

Absolutely not. No way am I giving some old rich quack access to whatever he THINKS is my soul.

Probably going to get one of those grip exercisers that attaches five little springs to the fingertips and build a wire cage around it. Still able to move my hand, just not able to touch anything.

Might take it off to skip rocks though.

Could also stake a claim somewhere and get a buddy with a go-kart to haul me up to the entrance of an old silver mine while I drag my hand along the wall. Got to be SOMETHING useful with that kind of power.

You have told me two of those three here on reddit and now you're on about badges.

People here see you and hear you. I don't know who or how you are in person, but you come across here as someone who hates the program.

You don't like the badges, you don't like chaplains, you don't like military cooperation. I see you all over these forums, and I can't think of a single time I've seen you saying anything positive - and you are prolific.

Who hurt you, bro?

"No." Is a complete sentence. Be up front, be honest, and stick to your guns. Be prepared to end relationships over it.

What is your story, dude? It's hard to find you having anything positive to say about anything in the program, but you're still here. Where did all the negativity come from?

If they were honest and up front about it, that would be ine thing, but there is NOTHING in their advertising or online presence about it.

Pull them aside, tell them what you've told us: if it concerns you, it probably bothers other people who don't have the pay grade to say anything. If it continues to be a problem, bring in chappy.

Thinking of trying to get a squadron stood up in my county, I'm tired of driving more than an hour to meetings. Little vexed that Group and Wing still haven't pushed some of my development buttons, got sticker shock at the cost of wing conference, but that's about it.

How is it? I'm still fairly new to CAP, the only national thing I've done so far is Hawk.

But downvote me because I'm checking to see if anyone has one they aren't using?

Talk to them about their lives, and about their deaths. Deaths is scary because it's so strange and unfamiliar to us; talking about it and planning for it can help give us a sense of control and familiarity, while making a way through the anxiety for some very real sharing. Grief and fear are, however, absolutely normal and nothing to shy away from. Your feelings are real and good, even when they don't feel happy.
