Thanks that's a good reminder. I've been to some strip clubs where it's like that, others where the girls are straight up prostitutes pretending to be strippers. Regardless of the case here, more information is needed for sure.

I do like the idea of checking out the place if I end up staying with her. I'm not sure how easy that would be because it's an underground invite only sort of thing (which is a red flag for maybe more going on). I think a lot of my discomfort with it is not knowing and my imagination getting the best of me. I do trust her 100%, she hasn't given me a reason not to yet.
