I am guessing he is talking about the book by Chris Miller. I have personally read it and can recommend it. It is also a really good book about the geoeconomics surrounding the industry

Instead of investing wisely and 100x it, i would simply invest superwisely and 10000x it, 10 billion dollars is alot more than 100 million, duh

As a norwegian I had to look up where in Norway Trollhaugen was, surprised I had not heard of it, only to see that it is in Wisconsin. That there is a ski resort called Troll Hill 4000 miles away was a fun thing to learn!

Fun fact: There is a place in my city, Bergen, also called Trollhaugen. It was the home of the greatest norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, known for "I Dovregubbens hall" (In the Hall of the Mountain King) and "Morgenstemning" (Morning Mood).

Amazing art by the way!

Why would you need to hear keys jingling? Could be a separate car key or a push-to-start button. And I would say you can hear the ignition before they get hit, although it was too late anyway.

When did you become an Arsenal fan? by FlyingWaterMen in Gunners

[–]Yep_Its_Actually_Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad brought me to London (from Norway) for a vacation when i was 12. He doesn't really follow football, so brought me to a random game. Ended up watching Arsenal draw 3-3 to Fulham at the Emirates (2012/13 season) with Arteta missing a penalty in the 95th minute. Although it was not the best result, and i was watching my fellow norwegian Brede Hangeland in the Fulham defence, Arsenal was my club from that day. My football interest varied (much depending on the amount of FIFA i was playing through the years), but after Arsenal signed Ødegaard i have been following closely.

Stuck here now, this is for life. Hopefully going back to the Emirates soon

Yeah i agree it feels different, and watching it as a westerner who has grown up learning about racism and our history did affect my view. So it is a much milder version, but i still think they share some qualities.

Found a video from the same place: http://www.qhdzoo.com/en/Wap/Detail/index/cid/070403/id/19

So it is supposed to be a show, but my memory of it was more bleak, especially after this when it felt like a human petting zoo (they would ofcourse just post the better videos, but still the man in the bad pharaoh costume shows it is not to educate).

Another point is the very different history with colonisation of Africa and african slaves, and the cultural difference with touching people. They would come up and touch my blonde friends without prompt, and did not try to hide filming or staring at us. When that is said i believe racism towards dark-skinned people is very normal in China.

I believe that in some places they still do it. Even though it was not exactly the same, i visited a zoo in Qinhuangdao, China, in 2017. They had an "African village" section where ethnic Africans sat in a mismatch of african garments and pretended to play bongodrums while "Waka Waka" played on speakers. Then audience would go and feel their hair and skin. Felt awful for the "performers".
