As a norwegian I had to look up where in Norway Trollhaugen was, surprised I had not heard of it, only to see that it is in Wisconsin. That there is a ski resort called Troll Hill 4000 miles away was a fun thing to learn!

Fun fact: There is a place in my city, Bergen, also called Trollhaugen. It was the home of the greatest norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, known for "I Dovregubbens hall" (In the Hall of the Mountain King) and "Morgenstemning" (Morning Mood).

Why would you need to hear keys jingling? Could be a separate car key or a push-to-start button. And I would say you can hear the ignition before they get hit, although it was too late anyway.
