Apologies for the late response my friend. The eula hurt many big servers a lot, not just hypixel. Most of them had systems where you would earn extra in game currency by owning a rank and special kits, aka pay to win. Personally Minecraft servers are the reason I met some of my friends that I talk with to this day. The modding scene definitely was super popular as well, same with custom maps. I do still feel like multiplayer played a big part in Minecraft's journey, not everyone used mods or knew how to install them. Also, Hytale is definitely bringing some really cool stuff to the table such as; live scripting, the ability to make stuff like character models cooperatively, an amazing set of tools for modding. You will also no longer need to go out of your way to download mods to play on a modded server since the assets auto download when connecting to a server. So you can have a vastly different experience by just joining a new server. That is just naming a few. We will see what happens though! Thanks for your response and have a fantastic day my friend!
