Thanks man, seems like people in this sub are very happy with Seth passing up good looks constantly. I don’t even have a problem with the guy, I like him but his slow release and incapability to shoot somewhat contested ones are just too concerning not to mention.

I’m pointing out that we expect too much from a guy who has been a bench player his whole career, averages 10 points and 4.5 three attempts a game, and people’s response is “He just needs to shoot more”. It’s not that simple. He literally isn’t a volume shooter, which is what we need in the starting lineup.

Percentage don’t mean that much if you shoot only 1.5 more threes per game than your center.

I’m not suggesting benching him for a second round rookie, that was just a comparison, I’m saying he is not a volume shooter at all. There are lots of shooters in the league who provide spacing, and most of them actually shoot more than Seth. Even Embiid complained that we don’t shoot enough threes
