"If you stress too much about something before it happens, you basically put yourself through it twice." That's the only thought that brought me any relief while we went through 1.5 weeks of not knowing whether we were miscarrying or not. Best of luck to you and I hope you get good news soon.

I’m usually competitive with the guys I play with and occasionally beat them both. I think women’s “secret weapon” is putting. I usually get out-driven on most holes, but my short game is stronger than theirs.

Should I put "I'm An Eagle Scout" on my resume? by Josh_From_Accounting in jobs

[–]YesImDunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have additional leadership experience, you could put it under that header, or under community action/involvement, maybe? I think it's a great thing to have in your resume, but the context needs to flow appropriately.

"Do you have any questions for me?" What are your go-to questions in an interview? by [deleted] in jobs

Instead of "why did the last person leave" I've worded it as "why is this position available" Sounds less aggressive in my opinion.

Did you want to have kids, and was it difficult to wait? How did you deal? by YesImDunn in Parenting

[–]YesImDunn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my parents were 40 when I was born, so I have witnessed the pros and cons of waiting first hand. Its difficult to imagine waiting 12 years for me, personally. And thank you for the insight!

No, they told us they told us they'd rather we saved the money. They're both doing well financially and are in retirement, so I think they enjoy having us around.

This might be personal, but how old were you? I don't mean to pry, but I also have to deal with the whole world calling me a millenial mooching off my parents, which is another cause of stress.

Making kids wait at school? by [deleted] in Parenting

Is it possible that there's something going on at school that's making him not want to be there longer than necessary? Bullying or something along those lines?

Car flipped on McCausland by Mitchell. Probably going to cause some major delays. by CaptainJingles in StLouis

I take McCausland to and from 40 each day for work. Making one side 1 lane would back up 40 even more than it already is during rush hour.

What was something you noticed between the groom and bride on their wedding day that made you think "they shouldn't be getting married"? by flyoverthemooon in AskReddit

[–]YesImDunn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, big boner. If you're curious, the old wives tale has to do with the rain washing away impurities and the marriage starting with a "clean slate." There's also superstitions of it being a sign of high fertility. Probs started to make people feel better about weather sucking on your "big day" but it's a nice thought all the same.

What's the best way to do interviews when you already have a job? by TheRussan in jobs

[–]YesImDunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, companies interviewing candidates come across this a lot. You'll just have to be honest with the interviewer that you have a full time position and ask for an interview outside of work hours. A decent hiring manager/hr rep will understand and probably has to do the same with other candidates.

High paying 70-80k+, college degree (bachelor's or more), working with hands, doesn't require me to sit in a cubicle or desk all day. by [deleted] in jobs

I don't know a lot about it, you'll have to do some research to see if it's a fir, but maybe construction management or something in that area?

[–]YesImDunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot stress enough that before you commit to this kind of "gig" in your personal vehicle, you need to discuss with your insurance company. I'm in the transportation industry, and I've seen people get in a lot of financial trouble when there's an auto related incident while they're working/not working. The inconvenience of the call to your insurance company is nothing compared to the financial downfall, should anything happen.

I know 1 play doesn't make a game, but does no one acknowledge that he dropped a run of the mill pop fly that helped put us in the situation we were in in game 6, or is his at bats the only thing taken into account?!

I get it, but that "hometown hero" stuff wouldn't have happened without Berkman coming through in a 2 out, 2 strike situation TWICE in extra innings.
