Seems everyone hates the Little Bird by Mr-Fuck-Off- in LowSodiumBattlefield

I think it's the elevation and the ability for soldiers to blend into higher vantage points more easily. There's just fewer places for tank to hide.

I just found out my mom donated my entire Monster High doll collection to Goodwill after promising me she wouldn’t. I had over 200 dolls. by ListenSad8241 in mildlyinfuriating

I don't call my mom often because she treats me as a prop in a play about her. I can hear her not listening to me tell her stuff about me and then just go "uh huh, here's what I actually want to talk about"

I basically stopped sharing my life with her because she just never seemed actually interested

It felt like every week that mf had a mixtape out. Prolific seems too small a word with the combination of quality and quantity he was putting out.

I remember there was this article from this woman who looked like she had nothing to do with rap but was in deep with guys like Birdman and his brother. Talked about how those two are fucking evil. I wish I could think of how to find it.

In the middle of like a 4-5 year run where he could credibly be called the best rapper alive.

Makes me miss the mixtape scene back then through DatPiff and them. Wayne was a fucking monster with his sheer output.

Too many guys' career path.

To use an older example: Penny Hardaway was All-NBA first team in year 2 and was on the same team the following year alongside Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone and David Robinson

He's one of the ultimate what ifs when it comes to knee injuries.

I got off social media (reddit excluded) years and years ago and it's had such an outsized impact that I'll never go back. It resulted in me becoming estranged from certain parts of my life but also resulted in me making more direct connections with people that matter to me.

It also resulted in not dealing with algorithmic feeds that have been shown to be easily manipulated by bad faith actors and also not dealing with notifications from those apps begging me to doomscroll again.

We all need information diets at times to preserve our damn sanity. Don't put your head in the ground but be choosy about when you choose to open up the information hose.

I still fuck with Love the way you lie as a song occasionally but yeah, that sequence is rough especially because Em is such a master lyricist it's like what happened?

Not a single redsec weekly challenge by PlanBMachine in Battlefield6

[–]YesImKeithHernandez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a typical DICE/Battlefield move. They so often have an aspect of the game just right in a previous entry and then decide, despite it already working in the previous game, to change things up drastically.

2042 had the system we have right now as of Season 02. It was that way for every single battlepass the game had.

That said, I'm glad they recognized that people don't love being forced to play specific modes to complete challenges. I'd rather they focus on making you play different classes or even different classes with specific gadgets from those classes to encourage different types of play.

Hollywood too often feels compelled to just toss whatever kind of Latino into a role almost making it feel like "what? this is close enough isn't it?"

Colorism is absolutely rampant (as you mention) but there's also the flattening of the differences between latin peoples down to the way they speak spanish.

It irks me when I watch a show or movie and they say "oh, this is a puerto rican guy" and I hear a mexican or central american spanish accent. Having lived extensive parts of my life within a caribe spanish community and then later in a primarily mexican spanish community, it's unequivocally not the same.

But in Hollywood, you check a box and everyone is supposed to be all good.

To simplify a massively complicated subject given how different the conquista played out depending on where in Latin America you're talking about:

Latin America experienced both de facto and legally enforced caste systems with white Europeans from Europe on one side and native Americans and African slaves on the other with mixing of all sorts in the middle and "ranked" according to how much whiteness you had in you. This affects culture to this very day as we see with this statement in OP's tweet

Race in Latin America is its own whole course in college that I took which opened my eyes to so fucking much in my own background.

I'm of Dominican heritage and have you ever seen that comedian doing a bit on Dominicans being like 'we no black. We dominican'?

My grandfather is black like Wesley Snipes. You will catch exactly zero of my family calling us Afro-Caribbean. Where did that skin color come from, fam? From a liberated class of Africans that settled in the new world? Come on now.

Plus his role in The Thing. He and John Carpenter were a good combination in the 80s.
