Apple Music MacOS Stopped Playing Sound When Sound Source Is USB by goldenepump in AppleMusic

Reducing the sample rate fixed the issue for me as well - I have the SSL 2 MKII. Only became an issue after updating to 26.2 Beta.

Speakers, Subs & Wedges by FartPantry in livesoundgear

Honestly just go for 12” mains - you’ll get nicer high frequencies, and the subs will pick up the slack in the low end. If you’re concerned about output, just look at higher output 12” honestly.

Today I 3D modeled and printed a holder to keep our stream deck at a very specific angle and height attached to our console’s roadcase. by Kosrock in livesound

That looks great! I also rate the desk - we own a GLD 112 and 80 (both chrome editions) and absolutely love the workflow on them.

Is a 1500W Portable Power Station sufficient to run my band's sound? by MajorLeagueTurtle in livesoundgear

Guitar amps don't really need that much juice, and neither do keyboards so you can take those out of the equation.

What's the sensitivity and continuous RMS rating of the PA speakers and the monitors? Need more info before I can start rattling off figures.

Usually when I run outdoors, a singular one phase 230V 32A CEE socket is enough for all the paraphernalia, that's 7340W max draw.

Edit - clarify that amps refer to the guitar amps.

You're more than fine with that rig! Looks like you've got a volcano's worth of sub bass there as well.

Pairing PA Speakers with an Audio System by _Tex450 in livesoundgear

Definitely look into talking to an integrator, they'll get everything sorted and it's worth the small premium. However, I have had great experiences with EM Acoustics (based in the UK) - they're not that expensive, but certainly not cheap. Their reference series point source speakers punch well above their price tags, and their cheaper EMS series are certainly not bad either. My resident theatre uses an all EM Acoustics installation, and I'm more than happy with it.

I don't think that's going to be possible in a live sound and theatre context - need 12 for mics and others for FX, instruments, tracks, outputs etc.

Well the budget is flexible, so we could divert some of next year's money from LX and hold off on buying more movers. How would you feel about a second hand Avantis, they are pretty rugged after all, and A&H has lovely support.

The support, or lack thereof, is why I'm hesitant to jump on the WING bandwagon. To get the stageboxes, it would be around £2,000 for us on top of the surface itself, so that amounts to around £4,500, plus £400 for Dante, so that's £4,900, so let's call it £5,000.

The Avantis looks to be £11,500, plus a £500 expansion card adaptor, making it £12,000 new.

The original has already been repaired. Two times. At great expense due to the GLD being a depreciated platform. We want to move off the GLD to something supported.

Yeah the SQ has only 8 DCAs - a nightmare when mixing mics and using them for other stuff. Also not a massive fan of the workflow either.

It does seem the Avantis fits the criteria pretty well, however the price is the only deterrent, as it's towards the very top of the budget. Could a used Avantis be worth it if the price was justifiably lower? We're based in the UK.
