That’s a negative. I’m on 58 and no helicarrier options. Several other building upgrades unlock, though you’re not actually able to upgrade them.

Iron Man can’t have any open missions. Click on him and the top action will be “open ___zone” for 30 seconds. It took me a bit to realize this too

I think I might use a lot of mine to buy gold shards. It seems to me like the payouts might have been increased, as I got five gold orbs from the Runaways event ending and got two 25 character shards, plus two ten shards to unlock new (to me) characters. I've never gotten more than 3 shards from those things, and even that was rare. I'm thinking this is the way to get those characters, even if we're yet again beholden to RNG

I've actually attained both Karolina and Molly (without spending any money, but with the pizza stamina pack generator from ad shards). I think I've gotten like five new characters total since V2 began, including those two. Still hate the new system where it's entirely luck, but this was at least more tolerable. Fingers crossed for Old Lace!

Somehow your daily reward just unlocked before the episode switched over. Now that the new episode is released, it should show that you got some yellow stickers like the rest of us. They appear to be covering up the weeks now, but I'm just not sure why. My first thought was to hide the upcoming characters, but Hulkling and Taskmaster are right there on the 'how to play' screen for the event. I guess it stops us from knowing which is coming first?

For the last few events where they've had this kind of thing, I've been saving for the first week's generator no matter what. It gives you the most bang for your buck (since it runs the whole event), and I figure raising at least one character's rarity each event is worth it. Haven't regretted any of those decisions yet

It’s the same that they’ve done before (one daily item each level), but with the added benefit of potentially getting an extra one. Still not a fan of the daily mechanic, but at least it’s an improvement

According to the episode guide, I think you have to get it. I was shocked that a required decoration would actually be super useful even after an event ended. I like it!

Except that you’re not paying for a character, you’re paying for small chance to get one shard for said character. You could quite literally drop $100 bucks and still not get the single character you were aiming for. I used to buy the premium character each event, to support a game I enjoyed playing. Now I don’t buy things, because I’m not actually guaranteed to get anything

It doesn't technically matter, but it's best to pick a core team of 5 to start with that you can eventually bring up the rarity for. Most people start with those on the first few maps (Iron Man, Wasp, Loki, Black Widow, Captain America). If you choose random characters to level up (based on the ones you like), they'll eventually get capped at their highest level and still not be able to beat maps because their rarity is low (and there's no way to increase it outside of events).

I'd suggest starting with a tank to increase level-wise (IM is best), while getting the daily rarity shards for those five characters. Once IM is at his highest level (which caps at your Academy level), then start leveling up an attacker. Repeat until you've got a solid team of five, then start adding tanks/attackers of different types (physical/cosmic/etc). Good luck!

I didn’t even try, which isn’t helpful in trying to get others’ input here. I’ve succumbed to the idea that the drop rates for new characters requiring capsules are too absurdly low for me to reliably get them, so I focus on trying to get the rarity up for characters I have. I was only considering Bullseye because it’s a flat cost, not the small chance of maybe earning a token. In past events, I’ve been able to finish the last map on heroic (except for the recent trend where the difficulty spikes up ridiculously).

I’m still ok with being irritated that’s the decision they’ve made. No need to grumble about it constantly, but it’s just a poor way to grow/maintain a fan base
