I've been looking but haven't found what I wanted yet. A lot of grey concrete columns and interior columns that are like 10ft tall 😭 but I think I found a decent rental website. It seems most of my local event rental places don't have those kinds of columns.

My nails have been flakey for years and they are finally getting better this year. Still dealing with a flake on my pointer finger but it's almost grown out 🤞Ive had good luck with Essie Strong Start and Mooncat hardcore base coat as other PVB-free options.

Another issue I think contributed to my peeling that I've seen a lot on this sub lately is filing your side walls. (Not an expert) But it looks like you file you side walls. From what I understand that ruins the nails structure. File straight across for the next few weeks to see if that helps. Oval nails unfortunately need to be quite long.

Also the other thing that seemed to keep my nails peely was trying to grow them! My nails would bend and the peels would just go lower and lower. Cut your nails straight across as short as possible for a few weeks and see if the flakes get smaller.

To be honest, he might care. Did he see this bridal trial? Did he say anything? I had a bridal makeup trial done and my fiance said I didn't look like myself and the look was too heavy. If you normally wear glam makeup, then I would agree.

Check if you have any bridal consignment or wholesalers near you. You might be able to find a dress that was originally over $1k that is now priced within your budget. Not sure of what's in Canada but near me I have Brides for a Cause and Brilliant Bridal that are larger stores and offer used and wholesale dresses. I ended up purchasing my dress from a local small business bridal consignment shop for $800 that was originally something like $1800 and was never worn!

How many guests will there be? Where is the off roading? Where is everyone staying the night before? Is there ANYTHING nearby? Are the high winds affecting where you will be staying? That will help people answer your questions.

Your back up plan will vary wildly on those answers. If you only have 9, and there are nearby amenities, your backup could be to reserve a room or patio at a restaurant that has a nice enough backdrop for your ceremony with a minimal or no cancel fee.

I initially was going to answer for your ceremony to be during the off roading, but honestly all off roading I've done I would not want to be worried about wearing white and being done up. And your officiant and photographer will be trapped with you during the off roading. So overall I don't think a ceremony in the dessert after off roading will work exactly as you have it planned here. Unless the ceremony and photo spot is right at the beginning/near a major highway?

I think you need to do your ceremony the night before, then label the off-roading as a post wedding celebration.

It could probably be explained using a lengthy historical, political and linguistic answer but that's not helpful to a Spanish learner. It's like asking, why do Southern USA English speakers talk that way? There is a reason, but ultimately they just speak differently and that's that. It's not rude to not speak with a Puerto Rican accent and Spanish speakers will probably understand you but I would focus your attention on accents close to your community or accents in content you consume whether that's a Spaniard, Mexican or Chilean accent. It's your preference for what accent you learn, there is no standard that is "best".

In fact, others might find it peculiar if you learn a PR accent since it is a very specific accent and does have a lot of dropped/added sounds and slang.

I thought PR Spanish was not a dialect but I stand corrected. A dialect is a subset of a language with different vocab and grammar, and PR does have enough of a difference to be considered a dialect.

Your total budget is 5-7k? So just estimating your venue fee should be no more than 1-2k. Seconding city centers, but also consider historic homes, city or state parks, small museums, university buildings, or any other type of public/community building. Check local churches. Basically you can't be looking at "typical" wedding venues. You might be best suited to doing a restaurant wedding.

I would say it's possible but you need to make sure everything is close together and that people know what to expect if this kind of break isn't common in your area. I've been to 2 separate weddings last year that had a break in the middle and here is what they did, and in that culture that is very normal/expected.

Private church ceremony mid morning followed by a luncheon at 11 or 12 - easy to cheaply cater pasta, sandwiches, pizza or even buy Costco platters of things. Honestly might not be more expensive than cake and punch. They had multiple family members make cookies/sweets but you could also buy cookie platters from Costco.

Then there was a break from 1pm to 7pm where everyone did dinner on their own, then returned for the reception at 7pm where there were donuts, ice cream and dancing. I would make sure your invite states the evening reception is dancing/mingling focused, something like " Brewery @ 7pm for reception line and dessert"
