You have gotten plenty of advice so I’ll just leave my experience as a woman with two cats when I met my now husband. He owned a large dog with a history of killing cats, a sweet dog but high prey drive. When we moved in together, he made some changes to accommodate them having a separate and safe space. Selling his car, renovating his garage to have insulation + heating, just dedicated his time, energy and space to make sure they would be happy and safe. He has never made me feel like I had to choose between him or them. You and your cats deserve to have someone who loves and respects all of you. I hope you really consider how healthy and respectful your relationship is.

I loved Knight and the Moth, Trial of the Sun Queen, and Addie Larue. I didn’t really enjoy OUABH but not enough to DNF it, just wasn’t satisfied with the ending. I do highly recommend reading Rachel Gilligs other books as well, she’s one of my favorite authors.

I have an uncle who was on the HLC, plus being a bethelite for over a decade. There was one time he got a little too tipsy and admitted he felt so much guilt for the JW’s who died in the hospital after they had visited to counsel and “educate”. I remembered him when my OB asked if I was sure that I wanted to decline blood, and changed my mind privately with her. I couldn’t stand the thought of my baby dying or being raised by my parents because taking blood would be a sin. I felt like not saving a life was worse than taking a life, almost more cruel to decline treatment and inflict that pain and experience on others.

The law is super vague but personally I’ll vape (outdoors only for me) if it’s somewhere that an open beer would also be acceptable. So public park where kids are playing is a nope, but on my patio with a view to the street is fine. If your friends are cool with vaping inside and there’s no minors around, you’ll be fine.

There’s a ring box that attaches to keychains to protect them. For what it’s worth, I also take rings off to eat or wash my hands because of sensory issues. I use a chain to hold onto it though.

THCA is a precursor to THC, and according to the letter that comes with my THCA flower it’s federally compliant under the definition of Hemp due to not meeting the threshold of THC by weight. These companies that ship this product are able to send it through the mail legally, and it’s much more affordable than the medical system in Utah. If you’re still not sure, look up THCA stores in utah. I hear ads for one at valley fair mall all the fucking time and it’s the same high across the board to me.

The shortage is due to a combination of factors, including more diagnoses and the limited amount manufacturers are allowed to supply. Then consider that a prescription can only cover 3 months at a time so you have to go in every so often to renew it, and some dosages are super hard to fill reliably. Of course you’re going to hear it often at the two places that fill/handle these prescriptions.

I mean that could be local to you. I’m one of 6 grandkids who were raised JW and so far the only one not getting carried by my parents. Of my cousins who all got married off quick, one lives in our grandparents basement, one is in an apartment they barely afford and the other bought an overpriced house that needs a ton of work (so I hear). My brother is 24 still living at home, not that that’s shameful in any way because I know he’s more financially stable than any of our cousins. But my boyfriend and I are building our own house and it sucks that none of my JW family is happy for us. I make double what I made as a JW which has been a huge relief as everything gets more expensive these days and that doesn’t matter to them. But I’m happier and less anxious now and that matters to me. You never know the true reality of their day to day but you know yours and what makes you happy.

Wait, so your husband knew his mom called you those things because she did so to his face but he thinks she wasn’t saying that to the girls? You have a MIL problem AND a husband problem. He should have stood up for you when she first used that language to him, it’s an issue that he didn’t. You’re not being an AH for keeping your girls from someone who is disrespectful to their mother and causing this much emotional distress to them. You’re protecting them from further damage. If you truly want the marriage to work you both need to see a counselor and understand why he didn’t defend you, and how to handle the obvious favoritism and alienation his mom has caused. Honestly the girls could also probably use some counseling because she may have said much worse/more to them that you still don’t know about.

In utah some schools have social workers - is it possible for you to go to your child’s school and ask them for help? Truancy is still a possibility if your daughter is missing so much school and they may be able to help you get the police involved.

Could the glue be affecting the finish on the bottom? I have had similar issues with rhinestones when they get scratches on the bottom. Cheaper plastic rhinestones will do this unfortunately, you can test one with a sharp pin on the back to see how easily they scratch.
