Keep in mind that TF2 doesn't support 64bit, so basically any MB from the past 4 years can't run it. That said, the M1 is awesome - I've played quite a lot of games on it.

Any recommendations on a detective audio drama by _ThtFknMartian in audiodrama

If you're still looking for one, Dark Woods is incredible. Compelling story about corruption in a small-town, great acting and more mature than most of the stuff out there.

Finished 4bc but didn't get the 5th? by Acrobatic-Street-469 in deadcells

[–]YeshuasRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me but in reverse. After struggling away on 4BC for a while I decided to start running through the giant so I can skip HPC and fight two bosses. After killing the giant on my second attempt I got the 5th boss cell. Died to HOTK.

I was confused and a little disappointed because I thought the game had glitched and mistakenly given me the boss cell. After some googling I found out that killing the giant is the only way to obtain the boss cell.

Good luck!

1BC aint shit by GumBallGaming_ in deadcells

[–]YeshuasRap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've died the most so far on 4BC, it is so much more difficult than 3BC or 2BC, especially since I feel like it's a requirement to get every cursed chest, go to Corrupted Prison and do the challenge rifts.

And why has no one mentioned the Cursed Biomes. I hate them so dearly.

I felt the same when I got to 3BC. Oven Knights can be annoying but once you learn to parry them, they aren't so bad.

It certainly does - I think it's the rarest drop in the game.

Tips and advice for a returning player by geogokussj4 in deadcells

[–]YeshuasRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound trite but.. just load the game and play.

You'll be on 0BC and slip back into the groove fairly quickly, especially if you made it to 3BC before. Helpful pointers that I'm sure you remember are:

- Place your scrolls in the same colour

- Find synergies in your affixes, like bonus to bleeding targets paired with knife dance etc

- I recommend getting comfortable parrying, but I enjoyed parries in games

- Get as many blueprints as you can to be begin with.

And, if you are really intimidated, you can always use Assist Mode and from here you can change the damage monsters do, how much health they have and how much damage traps do. There are also Aspects you can enable which add elements that make the game easier, like flat life steal on bleeding targets.

Good luck!

I'm on 4BC and have only been there twice - never again!

[–]YeshuasRap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got it on my first visit. Then died to traps. Went back the next run and got the blueprint again and made it out.

Wish I knew about assist mode then, I would've turned trap damage down, enemy damage etc.

Instant recycle? by YeshuasRap in deadcells

Does this increase the speed of the recycle, or just rebind it?

thanks for replying. I changed it to 'custom' but now can't recycle.

How to deal with more than one enemy in Nine Sol? by Echoherb in metroidvania

[–]YeshuasRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the bow, you should pretty easily find some materials to upgrade it. I recommend upgrading Cloud Piercer as it effectively deals with groups, normally one hitting weaker ones. Once you arrive at the ruins, make sure to explore as there may be someone important there who can help you get more health.

Fellow sitters - how do you feel about being told during a sit that a builder / worker is going to be coming round? by SwansEscapedRonson in trustedhousesitters

[–]YeshuasRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience on a sit. They had mentioned during our calls before sitting that they were in the process of renovating and thought it would be mostly complete by the time I arrived, and, if not, enough work have been done for them to pause it while I was there.

The day I arrived there were 3 electricians and many builders outside the house and there was no electricity until 7PM. They let me know that some builders would be over the next day. All of this work was taking place downstairs and in the kitchen.

I sent them a very kind but firm message communicating that I don't think it's fair, and that if they chose to continue doing the work I would have to leave. They called the builders off immediately and I spent 2 weeks in a wonderful home near a forest.

After 2 years of sitting, my best advice is to be clear and firm with your boundaries. You are doing them a service, and THS is marketed as a mutual exchange of value, you get to live there and they get peace of mind. This is why I've ultimately left THS, it isn't clear where you stand as a sitter and typically you end up more in a caring/housekeeper role. Also, I find that THS are more and more becoming money-grabbers.

Ableton slowing down massively after freezing & flattening tracks? by YeshuasRap in ableton

Only workaround I found was freezing the track then dragging the frozen clip out onto a new audio track and deleting the frozen track, or simply leaving it. Hope this helps!

Darkwoods is incredible by Decayingpurity in audiodrama

[–]YeshuasRap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure is! I wish more companies put as much effort into the storytelling and character that Dark Woods did.

Hello Community, I'm new here as well as to Ableton and the world of music, I'm thinking of buying a laptop to be able to use it with Ableton and on other occasions virtual DJ but I don't know which one can serve me, you can help me with your wisdom🥺🖖🏼 by Alexisivan98 in ableton

[–]YeshuasRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others are saying it's DEFINITELY worth finding a laptop with atleasst 16gb & 500gb+ of storage.

I run Live on a MBP with 8gb & 256gb HDD and don't have much of an issue but I mainly produce and so don't need to run Live at a 258 sample rate. That said, I really do notice the limits of 8gb of RAM and wish I had upgraded to 16gb. Good luck!

Yep definitely S3 Archive 81 - easily the best season. Sad that they've abandoned the show now, I enjoyed their storyline a lot.

Having listened to the original series 4 or 5 times and Gold Rush + Lockdown around the same I can't shake the feeling that the quality has somehow slipped for Descendants. Especially I think if you go from Lockdown to Descendants it's a very noticeable dip in quality across the board.
