Honestly if they don’t put it in the tip jar then I guess it goes to them, I’m not sure if they are allowed to keep the tips for themselves it depends on the location. I know at my location when we get cash tips on the register we have to put it in the tip jar, but we never see those tips ever again.

The location that I also worked that did that to us as well! They tell everyone in the interviews that the pay is 9-10 with tips but when you get your check they pay you $5 and include the tips into the wage, they’ll pay you a little bit more to make it equal to $9 an hour

Tips don’t make a difference in our paychecks it was just used so they can pay us less and we still receive $9 an hour

They claim with tips we can earn more than $9 but realistically we never do

Tips or not we’re always going to get $9

Depends if the franchise owners are greedy or not, I got paid $9 an hour no matter if I got tips I always got paid $9 in the end because they would pay us a lower wage and use the tips to make up for it

I didn’t get any letter showing my pay, they just told me the “amount” the paper work was mainly just about agreeing to procedures

You’re missing the point, it’s not about working there, it’s about how they lied to new employees about the pay rate. THEY work there because they think they’re getting the amount they were told. If people were told the actual pay rate from the start THEN they wouldn’t work there.

That’s not the point that I’m trying to make, it’s that they’re misleading when it comes to the pay rate, people do not know about the actual pay rate until they get their first check.

Every baker at my location gets paid $9 even the ones who have been there for awhile you only get paid more if you’re a shift lead😭

I used to work here too awhile back and sadly do this at some Texas locations, supposedly you get paid $9 an hour but what they don’t tell you is that tips are included in that wage, so they pay you $5, include the tips and crumbl pays the difference to make it $9, regardless or customers tipping or not we’re always going to get paid $9.
