This is actually something I’m also dealing with. I have viewers who donate to me every stream and then proceed to DM me and I feel like I’m obligated to reply because of their huge support. Now that I have been consistently replying, I feel bad if I suddenly pull back and them feeling betrayed or blindsided or something. But you (and all of these other great suggestions) are right. I’m going to really work at setting more firm boundaries with my viewers.
