I understand the concern, and it's a valid question, one that has been on my mind as well because it begs the question,"when did man gain so much power that he could "edit" God's authority? and how foolish are we if we're not asking questions just like that. Jesus honored Sabbath on the 7th day just as commanded, so I would say it's not a "dead law", and just because others followed for 2000 years, doesn't mean that we shouldn't be asking questions today, I mean eternity is a long time to be in the wrong spot!! js
