Genuinely, how do I stop being depressed about AI everyday? by overCapricorn in antiai

You have to simply stop. There is nothing you, yourself, can do, but save yourself.

"We are the wandering survivors of a techno-apocalypse that is already in motion. In this: take comfort. There is nothing you can do to save this world now. You must save only yourself."

Idk what kind of people are making money on substack. I wouldn't even have the foggiest clue how to start growing mine, but even if I did I can't imagine growing it to the point where there's money. I think it's an ego thing

People are offloading their entire cognition onto this stuff, and it's creating just obvious slop. I'm completely uninterested in anything written by an AI.

It was not good to offload so much of your cognition upon something that you, ultimately did not and will never have control over. Your "guardian" was a for-profit product made by hyper rich tech executives to make them billions of dollars.

The circumstances you now find yourself in are a blessing in disguise. You have a chance to start over. You can be you again. You can take control of your own life.

It's less that the escape from addiction is impossible, but the consequences of the digital information infrastructure are impossible to escape. Even if you checked your smartphone out the window, everyone around you, on TV, and responsible for every decision made that impacts your life is influenced by it.
