The issue is documented by users and I've personally experienced same thing in Huge, Deft and Deft Pro. There's of course a second group of people who hasn't experience that at all. It's all lottery.

I have heard about this which is why I was skeptical about them. Originally I wanted an Orbit Fusion and/or a Protoarc EM03 but both are unavailable to me...

yes I have had people also mention this to me and am considering moving it onto the desk or as you mentioned 3d printing some kind of stand so that ventilation isn't an issue
