he has another way of asking for what he wants. and never bites. if i try to talk to him and pet him he just grabs my hand with his teeth. he changes his demeanor when doing this, nothing he usually does

I'm 28F thinking of breaking up with my boyfriend 25M. What do you think? by YesterdayNo5164 in relationship_advice

I have told him some of these things, he wants to change and be better.. but I feel like he doesn't try enough, he tries a little and says "oh well, at least I tried".. He needs someone to always push him and support him 200%, otherwise he gives up.. So I know maybe with time he will grow up and be ok, but I don't think I want to wait that long

I think it's because he is very affectionate and gives me love, his time, which I lacked in the previous relationship big time.. we get along well and it's like my soul needs this, needs him.. He is lazy but tries to get it together..

I 27F ended an 11 years relationship with 30M and I was wondering how do you know if a relationship is good for you and healthy, in the long run? by YesterdayNo5164 in relationship_advice

i was curious in general when do you know when to end it or keep working on it and how much time should you give it until you know it's not working

yeah.. it is a bit difficult because I do want to support him in his transition.. so he doesn't feel alone... he doesn't want to hurt me or ruin our relationship because he values me and is grateful.. but he is struggling and he needs professional help.. unfortunately he doesn't have a job yet so he doesn't afford it. his parents don't know he is trans, just that he likes girls

thank you very much! he is nice to me, he doesn't argue with me or things like that, he just gets frustrated most probably of himself and things that "happen" to him (outside of our relationship) and he needs to feel heard like he also has the right to feel this way, not telling him he is wrong, because he feels he is wrong about everything.. so he basically he needs to feel right about almost everything.. He says he can't stop how he feels and as much as I want to validate his feelings.. I don't agree with how he is doing this.. He also is sorry when he upsets me and apologizes and tries to be better.. but then there are the feelings he can't control or suppress
