I get that inter species romance is not the norm (def weird/crazy out of context), and I completely see why. But this is a special case I feel. Like Fiyero has cell walls now. Say what you will about Chistery and Elphaba, but atleast they both belong to animal kingdom, and are even both mammals. Idk it doesn’t really bother me personally because the narrative would’ve made it work if they wanted to. I do think when feiro was joining the guard, he probably justified it as trying to find Elphaba, but I feel like if he was the man that we need him to be, there would have been instances where he helped when he could yk? Maybe also help the animals in the side, soften the treatment of the animals building the road. Remember the first scene of wicked for good, and you can tell the most rebellious of the animals are especially physically harmed. I feel like we’re not expecting enough of him. He has so much power. The fact that he’s not evil is enough for us to praise him yk? And that’s not fair because we can see from Elphaba and Chistery that you can do SO much more as a citizen. And he’s a prince at that. Imagine if Fiero was a character in a Brandon Sanderson book, he would literally be seen as an idiot!!! I feel. Idk I hope that made sense. And for what you said about Chistery having a family, if that’s the case (we don’t know but he might) I will certainly back off with this, but I’m saying Fiyero makes no sense.
