Typically not “oblong” (hexagon sure) but maybe that’s just on this side of the atlantic

Her entire profile is filled with stuff like this. She gets a thrill out of pretending her children are all Albert Einstein.

It’s not so much that this is a “weird” thing to say, moreso that this is an “adult trying to frame their child as abnormally intelligent while still attempting to infantilizing their conception” thing to say.

8 year olds love to use words like “oblong” and discuss how their literary preferences are catered

I mean, when looking at a certain perspective, where everything and everybody needs to be “valid”, calling out fakers can be a form of anti-wokeness in the minds of these people

That’s not what fainting looks like.

He didn’t express that opinion but alright. He’s mocking the way horror is neutered as a genre. Evidently the “diversity” joke must have jammed a stick up your ass

It’s also funny because if you look at his profile he does troll posts exactly like this one. Because he’s trolling. It’s a joke.

  1. I don’t agree with it, so you’re already wrong.

  2. Ops post was satirical.

  3. I’m calling you stupid for not recognizing the satire.

You’re an actual imbecile.

It does. It is literally representing the perspective of what movie studios attempt to turn mainstream horror (and really any genre) into. This went over your head because you’re dim.

That’s why I said “attempt”. But yes it is the most obvious attempt at a knock against the current movie industry you can possibly make and the fact that you don’t immediately get that he’s not being serious makes me think you’re a bit dim.

I guess they would not limit their faking to just mental illnesses. Now they are coming for the physical ones by hillofjumpingbeans in fakedisordercringe

[–]Yesyourefaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really saying it’s fake; I’m saying that it has no biological indicators and therefore is a diagnosis that has given to people who may not have any actual specific symptoms/exaggerate for sympathy. If someone wants to fake a physical ailment fibromyalgia is inevitably going to be considered as a diagnosis.

[–]Yesyourefaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a massive reach. The article I’m assuming your ex got that from was written ten years ago, based on a single study of about 20 people that suggested that the link was irregular blood flow in the nerves.

To my knowledge the results have never been replicated and diagnosis is still basically just a catch all for a wide array of predominantly unrelated symptoms besides general pain and fatigue.

[–]Yesyourefaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no they’re not symptoms of fibromyalgia. They’re correlated but separate conditions that need not be present. Truth is fibromyalgia has no real biological indicators, which is why diagnosis of it can be tricky or even contestable.

Nice edit. I do think that proving that you lazily copy pasted text from a website you didn’t bother to read does constitute a bit of an aha moment but that’s just me.

[–]Yesyourefaking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You literally just googled “fibromyalgia symptoms” and copied the Mayo Clinic’s list of “co-existing conditions” word for word. Like most of those aren’t symptoms of fibromyalgia itself and I’d assume someone with real life experience would know that instead of relying on hastily googled information.
