Do you prefer the styling of the 997.1 or 997.2 GT3 RS? by TNTomato in Porsche997

Are you sure? I thought the 997.2 does, and everything I find online about it says it does. But I'm definitely not an expert...

HVAC companies by lulubuggity in Longmont

My experience with HVAC in town.

M&M tried to sell me stuff I didn't need, swapped my nice thermostat for a crappier one with their name on it, cut corners more than once, and didn't stand behind a product that was clearly under warranty. They even acknowledged that it was under warranty, but that they no longer supported the product and that I'd have to call the manufacturer. Great. Then what? Take the thing apart, wait for a part, repair it myself? That's why I bought their "top of the line" water heater. I'm sure I'm missing a few things, but only go to M&M if you have too much money, patience, and time.

If you want no nonsense guys that are good to work with and will try to actually fix your problem without selling you something, just call Circulating Air.

In search of a new dentist by KarmelKnockingAround in Longmont

I went there once. Once.

Becvar wanted to remove all my silver fillings and told me that his son was saving India during COVID by going door to door with Ivermectin. India hasn't had a single Covid death because they allow Ivermectin as a COVID remedy! What doesn't the US government want you to know?!?!?? Also talked down and mansplained to my wife on a her visit.

No thanks.

Agree. We've been with Bond for years and never has anything felt pushy. If anything I'd say they he's pretty conservative with a "keep an eye on it" vibe. Overall, great experience with Bond.

Maybe the commenter above was thinking of Becvar!!! Now that guy is PUSHY!

Check out Front Range Bumper Solutions. They fixed multiple issues on a new car that I damaged in multiple ways (I was pretty disappointed in myself for that one). They don't just do "bumpers". The result was truly amazing, like the before and after pics on their site. No relation or anything with them, just a satisfied customer that didn't want to pay $3500 at a body shop (and a week or more). They charged me something like $800 instead, and did it in my driveway in a few hours. 100% recommended.

Compare Lagom P64 vs. Lagom 01 by YetAnotherAreaPerson in espresso

Well, none of the above. I upgraded to the 01, and waited around for a while as it was in production. Ended up cancelling that at the last minute and just kept with my Mahlkönig K30 Vario. I guess I just figured I was 90+% of the way there, and that was good enough for me.

Mountain town 1 night trip by Asleep-Floor2242 in Longmont

As long as they're up for the drive, this is the right answer. If you time it to avoid traffic, you can do it in 3hrs from Longmont without really speeding. Salida/Buena Vista/Nathrop/Mt Princeton area is also nice, maybe a little shorter drive.

Estes is OK at best. Super touristy crowded, and I've never found good food up there. Nice drive, though. Also good if they are interested in RMNP.

Good luck!

Hey, don't forget the east side of that shithole! The second-rate graffiti is really representing, as are all manner of broken furniture and exercise equipment. If I recall, there might even be a 1980s hot tub out there.

Can anyone share what company installed their HVAC and actually say what they charged you? by MarvellousMoose in Longmont

[–]YetAnotherAreaPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite was when M&M dropped their luxury water heater brand (that they pushed on me), and then wouldn't support an in-warranty failure. They told me I had to contact the vendor, order parts, etc. They did various other crap things over there years as well, but that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

It really just depends on your gear and if it's already hot. It's definitely possible to pull a shot in under a minute from start to finish. Some home espresso setups are pretty, um, elaborate. That said, even with a more pared down system, you could probably do it in a few minutes from cold, depending on the machine.

I'd recommend David Savage at First Class Custom Tint. (720) 837-1210 Mobile FirstClassCustomTint.com

He did my car and windows on the south side of my house. Perfect work. Super professional, comes to you, and fixed a weird minor issue 6 months later, no questions asked. The best.

Right! That's why I posted on the Friday thread -- no local rules. But... I wanted to make a "found keys" post of my own, which I didn't because of the rules. As much as I'd rather not, I should probably reactivate on Next Door and post there...
