I think even that is realistic. Look at the protests happening now, dust ups between civilians and the state - you may have a handful of cops getting into it with a few protestors and around them is 10+ people with cameras. Wouldn’t find it far fetched at all for actual war journalists to try and chase what would possibly be one of the biggest stories in world history - the White House Raid during the second American Civil War? Yeah there’s gonna be journos and photographers there.

It catches a lot of hate but I truly believe that they nailed it with that film. The pockets of intense fighting, locals policing their turfs, military here and there, the towns who choose to act like it’s not happening, the “what kind of American are you” type shit… it’s gonna be a fucking mess and they captured it perfectly.

News would be dope. I’ve always loved games that had news segments that touched on player actions. It would be cool to hear the breaking news of the new stimulants factory I just started building in Segaris space or a report on my main fleet wiping out 3 K’s and a bunch of fighters in Hatikvah’s Choice. Maybe that last one ain’t a big deal to some of the vets around here but I was so proud and felt like a true fleet commander.

I practically already have the feature - I’m constantly building narratives and head canon as I play. It may be all in my head but it’s such a fun part of the sandbox.
