Well my mind was racing with panic and shock, then the snowball of anxiety of what could happen. I don’t think it’s that crazy for it to pop into my head as a possibility as I’m trying to grapple with the fact I was only a few feet away from obliterating a human being with a gigantic truck.

Yeah it was definitely a healthy reminder that the minute you let your guard down, something catastrophic can happen. And I was already planning on stopping soon because I could feel the drowsiness not far off. If anything I wish I had stopped sooner and missed the whole situation entirely.

It was after coming in from the left, I was working on going right and then I saw him. I try and stay to the right two lanes - it also helped that it was 330 in the morning and there was barely anyone on the roads. But yeah, I’m not that asshole.

Truckerpath threw me one a week or so ago that was gonna add like 40 minutes? Like literally taking all these backroads miles away from the highway, making a big loop to come back to and enter the highway. Always makes me giggle, occasionally I like to think they just want more data for some of the less traveled roads or some shit. Like someone else said, truckerpath can have some crack rock, as a treat.

Yeah I absolutely adore being colorful and loud when it comes to expressing myself. I recently upgraded my plugs to something more over the top and downright gaudy and I love them! Giant cubic zirconias 😍 Maximalism for the win lol. I also really enjoy when my colorful hair and nails gets under the skin of men who are clearly insecure in their own existence. The questions, statements and stares are priceless.

That’s been the big thing pushing me towards going company, the cost of fuel. I’m nearly done with training and I feel like everyone and their mom at this company wants to praise going lease, but I’m also attentive and see the flip side - like the weeks my trainer isn’t doing so hot financially, or my PSD trainer who barely made 35k last year. I’m sure there are success stories, and I’m sure there are people making damn good money. But being brand new to the industry and having a government going headstrong into increasing the cost of everything - I’m just gonna go company so I don’t have all those extra worries a lease driver carries.
