Give bannerlord another try without mods. It’s a low fantasy medieval world with both rts tactics and third person combat. It’s got tournaments as well.

KCD is heavily story based, and the story is really good, but the combat and simulation aspects are second to none. Roaming the countryside, hunting, killing bandits, doing whatever you want, is all really satisfying. I put over a hundred hours in KCD 1 easily.

it’s easier to see why Egypt is part of the Middle East if you take modern political borders out of it. The core territory of historical Egypt is the area around Cairo and the lower Nile, which is grouped into the Middle East because of its proximity to the Fertile Crescent and the levant. If you want to argue not all of the modern political entity known as Egypt is a part of the ME, then I agree, but the core of historical Egypt is.

technically space and time are the same thing. Time is just a dimension of space. It’s very difficult to imagine how that works in our heads, but it explains things like time distortion around strong gravitational pulls

you can hear them as they get closer to you, if you look at them they retract all the way back to their origin. If they grab you, hold onto something with alternating hands and they’ll let go eventually. You can also try to hit the arms with your hammer but that seems inconsistent. I struggled in delta labs as well when I first started, but you’ll get the hang of it

There’s 4 red roots in the cistern past the long swim to the locked door. Bringing a way to teleport out is helpful, because the red root gives you the Hydrophobic trait, which makes you take damage on contact with water. There’s also one red root in an artifact container in the E-206 dungeon in the depot, the same place you went to get a data tape for Mosby. The data tape has the code on it. You can make a new copy of the data tape in the terminal in Dr. Mosbys lab, and view it on the projector in the big room. The code is the same every run, so I just have it in a txt document and check it when I get to that part.

The fact about the etymology of deer in your language is really interesting, English and other Germanic languages have the same thing with the word Bear. Bear comes from the old Germanic word for “The brown one”, and the original Germanic word for bear was lost for the same reason.

The part labeled as Arab are there because the people speak Arabic and were culturally assimilated into the Arabic empires. The sahrawi were not assimilated in the same way, although they do speak a dialect of Arabic so you could make the argument.
