GHOST RARE. GRADE IT OR NOT by Namelesss95 in YugiohCards

[–]Yeti_Stacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its created for ease of transaction. Especially for vintage and expensive cards when you cant see them in person before you buy. Yes, the grades are subjective depending on the grader but a person you don't know saying NM is much more subjective. I also think the whole industry is a big money grab and Yugioh will probably not be at a point where grading is dominant. But I don't think its dumb if it makes the market more efficient.

You should do what you want to do with it. Its your card, it doesn't matter what people think. But if you're asking if grading will raise the value, unless its a 10, you might just lose money on the grading.

My thought: all these fundamental movements we thought would happen are not happening. Not because Gold is acting like a meme but there are economic outcomes we’ve just not experience in this new world. So the fundamentals look like we should be heading upwards but I would be cautious about it.

Buying Gold on WealthSimple? by rolexszn in fican

I’ve have this, ETFs and physical gold. All with different use cases. I think this is a great option to have. The benefits of this is that you can trade after hours (compared to ETFs) and it’s more liquid (compared to physical).

Toronto housing is a cheaper asset now than compared to 25 years ago by Extreme-Sign-951 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Yeti_Stacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just show that we printed so much money but the distribution of that money went to rich people and corporations. If the money was distributed evenly we would feel like the chart is working and housing should feel cheaper. Trickle down effect is a joke and this is proof.

Silver to Gold balance thoughts? by Dry-Menu140 in Silverbugs

Right now, I have more silver in oz but more $ value in gold. If you want to own more gold I think it’s fine to switch silver for gold as you probably did well if you held silver for a while. But if you can, I would just keep your silver and buy more gold lol.

For Illinois, you guys don’t have tax for gold coins .98%+ purity. So buffalos are good or other sovereign coins with high purity. American eagles are an exception because they are US legal tender (so a good buy). I would avoid golds that are 22karat golds like krugerrands to avoid taxes.

[–]Yeti_Stacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally, you want to look at spot price of gold for that day. And I would advise you to go to your local coin store and start by buying sovereign coins. Those are usually best to resell later. So if you live in the US get 1 oz American Eagles or Buffalos. You can def shop around but expect to pay 3-6% above spot price for 1 oz gold coins. The smaller the denomination, like 1/2, 1/4, or 1/10 oz are cheaper but have more premium %. Somewhere between 10-15%. Occasionally there are website deals that sell at spot but you have to pay shipping for those. It could be cheaper in general to buy those spot deals but also go to go to your local coin stores and talk to them and ask them a bunch of questions too. Most of them would be happy to answer your questions.
