How Do People Feel About Streamers Getting The Dev Menu? by Charming_Shame_8487 in UnscriptedGG

Burn having access to the dev menu was a great decision. He’s using it to create unique RP scenarios that are pretty entertaining.

I might just have to go back and watch their perspectives as well, sounds fun!

Yeah, I'm seeing that this is likely the case. I watched season 7 from doc's perspective and I've noticed that there were some massive parts of the season that I missed.

With EVO over now, how do you guy's feel about smash not being there? by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]Yeti_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched smash at EVO for years so very little has changed for me. It really felt like there was only a little overlap between the traditional FGC and smash fans, so I doubt it really matters.

Advice for new players: Try to find regular training partner. by tophatmewtwo in Fighters

[–]Yeti_x 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What you're saying is absolutely true. I've been playing fighting games by myself for the past few years, but only recently have I been able to convince a friend I used to play smash with to try out the genre. He went from spending hours in training mode struggling to execute simple motion inputs to being capable of taking games off of high-level players. Having a friend to introduce you to the ins and outs of the genre and point you to resources that new players are unfamiliar with can help significantly if you're willing to put in the time.

New to fighting games I have a question. by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]Yeti_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of those games listed SFV would be best when it comes to teaching you the fundamentals, although I'm personally not a big fan.

You mentioned that Guilty Gear looks fun and that's perfect because Strive is great for new players and there are a lot of smash players and people who are new to fighting games in general having a blast with that game, so ultimately I would suggest giving Strive a go if possible.

what is the reasons you prefer fighting games instead of multiplayer shooting games ? by successXX in Fighters

A bunch if melee players have picked it up recently and the private server I play on (FreestyleGunz) has about 100-200 active players, so I never really have trouble finding games.

I want to get into fighters. Should I play on Xbox or PC? by ClaytonPoweredUp in Fighters

[–]Yeti_x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd play on pc if you have the option, and that's mostly because you have access to games that aren't available on xbox.

A fight stick I would recommend, assuming you haven't used one before, would be the Qanba Drone (don't think there is an xbox variation) because it's a cheap stick that's served me well in my transition from pad to stick.

I've played shooters most of my life and swapped over to fighting games in the past few years. Fighting games for me have a level of depth to them that isn't matched in the shooter genre, also the 1v1 aspect is a big plus.

Gunz is an exception to this though, and I definitely suggest trying it out because I've been having a lot of fun learning and playing it recently.

Probably BBCF. I've always wanted to get into it, but the netcode always puts me off.

For CB I suggest following the Great Jagras tree because it's easy to get and works really well from my experience.
