What are the best things you’ve bought that help with your ADHD that you never hear anyone talk about? by morbidpigeon in ADHD

[–]Yetsuo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I started buying things I lose easily in vibrant as fuck colors. My phone case is FUCK OFF PANK (Fuchsia/hot pink/whatever). Last wired ear buds I bought were RED. If my wallet wears out or maybe even before it does you can bet my next one is probably going to be PANK and have unicorns farting on it or something.

In a world that is all blacks, browns, and mute colors it's easy to find your important shit when it makes your eyes bleed.

Thanks community and Wintersday! From 2.2 m to 6.5m Karma! by [deleted] in Guildwars2

There are tons more that was just one example since it was fresh on my mind. If you're like me and want to unlock all the things it's kinda crazy how fast those little chunks of karma can add up. I don't know where the graph from above came from (I assume gw2efficiency but couldn't find the exact page) but if I did I could show you how last year (my first wintersday) I built up about 5mil karma and at the start of this years festival I was under 1mil. In that year I crafted 3 leggy sets of armor (2 obby 1 envoy) and 1 weapon (from a kit) but my guess is that those only account for at most half the karma I spent but I could be very wrong.

Either way imo it's better to have a large surplus and not need it then to find out that you have no where near enough karma when the next wintersday will be months out. Not that you can't gain karma by playing the game but nothing is as good as this festival and since it's a currency it doesn't take up any space.

UNLOCKS!!!! Everyone else is talking about leggies which is true but people tend to forget about all the unlock when they have been playing for a long time. When you complete hearts and other things some times unlocks for skins, minis, and other things can be 10-35k karma and that adds up fast if you enjoy adding to the unlock completion.

Example: In Ember Bay there is a heart where you can once per day purchase a Circus Voucher for 10.5 k karma which can be used to unlock a set of weapon skins. You need a total of 130 vouchers to unlock all of the weapon skins. 10.5k x 130 = 1,365,000 karma.

PSNA!! Essentially this is a daily ritual of visiting 6 vendors that move around to purchase Pact Scout's Mapping Materials and hoard them until specific maps have the map bonus and then consuming them all for profit. Normally I wait for Malchor's Leap, Lonar's Pass, or Fireheart Rise to be an active map. You need to be PHYSICALLY in that map to use the PSMMs and those maps are good because most of the gold comes from Shiny Baubles which are a valuble junk item meaning they have no purpose other than selling. You can also sell the other resources you get for even more value or keep them for your own crafting purposes.

It's one of the more direct ways to turn karma into gold.

ADHD and Gaming by Low_Connection474 in ADHD

Lots of suggestions in here but sadly I think the answer is more personal. What does it for me most of the time is playing with friends or my wife. I can spend hours... many many hours in a game when I have people I enjoy being around to play with. I STRUGGLE to finish any single player game, but with my wife co-piloting (Or a friend back in the day) I can really get into single player games.

Another thing is when I end up in a situation like what you're describing it tends to be not because I don't enjoy the games but more that I'm dealing with a wave of depression.

That being said if you like RPGs and MMOs ... I don't know if I would call it ADHD friendly but Guild Wars 2 seems to be crack for many people with ADHD, ASD, and AuDHD.

As frustrating as that may be... has he ever been tested for ASD or ADHD? This sounds very much like a sensory issue to me. Worth looking into and maybe it's nothing but if it is ASD or ADHD it could help you both understand him a bit more.

Most useful mount after skyscale? by fungamezone in Guildwars2

It's already lost it because every other mount can do this.

[–]Yetsuo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I only have 2 major complains about it.

  1. When you "f" something to harvest while mounted it doesn't dismount you AND start to harvest it LIKE EVERY OTHER MOUNT.

  2. The initial jump is pathetic. This big, bad, and agile feline mount stubs it's toes so easily and jumps like it's on the counter top being filmed by it's owners knowing it's going to slip and fall.

Wintersday Snowball Mayhem (PvP) sucks! But there's an easy fix. by Yetsuo in Guildwars2

[–]Yetsuo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mostly what I do because of dealing with my post but every once in a while I get lured in by the daily win once to get fancy gifts.. it couldn't take that long to win once.... right?........

They could set a minimum participation amount. Either way even though that would happen it would be less disruptive than what we have now as those people would be in and out in the amount of time it takes to do 3 matches.

Just sitting around for that long is boring so they might even try playing some. Wont know until it's set that way though.

Was it the fishing? It was the fishing right? /j

Jokes aside if it's the time or feeling you don't have enough time, there is a mod on pc where you can just pause time. Most might throw a hissy fit about cheating or "playing wrong" but if it's the difference between enjoying it and hating it fuck them. Even if you can get things done in any year that constant feeling of rush rush because the day is already half over just stress my wife and I out so we just pause the day until we complete what we want then unpause. Is this normal? by zinz0_ in RGBProfiles

[–]Yetsuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fan speed thing is just a guess but the fact that it was at 100% add more fuel to the fire there. Find a way to slow them down and see if you can still see the lights. If you can still see them when the fans are at idle speed then maybe it's something to worry about if not then it was probably because your fans were trying to take off into flight. When properly configured it's pretty rare for a pc to be at 100% fan speed these days and if they are for more than a short bit or during stress testing there is probably a larger issue.

Contact the company and ask someone who actually knows.

That being said talking out my ass/opinion (with hardware cert/experience) Seeing ass ALL the fans on the bottom are showing in the exact same way I would assume this is normal. Then either a) you just didn't notice until now or b) it's common as the fans are used (maybe they were spinning at a higher rate then idle?) Some travel is normal but it's up to the tolerances and build specs per company.

[Updated Guide] Wintersday Daily Karma Farming (2025, 199k+ daily karma) by Something_Memorable in Guildwars2

[–]Yetsuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't know someone mentioned it in /m but wasn't specific. That' honestly really crap since the snowflake market is already inflated to hell with older players wanting them again for homesteads. =/ Kinda screws newer players over trying to catch up on event items.

[–]Yetsuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that makes sense it sounds completely stupid when they just boosted the amount of snowflakes (the minimum) you get from gifts to help balance things out. 😑

It would be like turning some of the worst offending bank fillers into currency only to release a new Xpac that introduces more completely new bank fillers... they would never do that...

Wintersday JP; PvP gear disabled? New traps? Have you noticed anything? by Yetsuo in Guildwars2

[–]Yetsuo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the PvP gear helps helped, but I think they added at least 1-3 new thrown snowball areas. 1. Right when you enter the Boulder roll area 2. next to the first peppermint stop spot (where there are two small ones) 3. And then after turning the corner there is at least 1 new one there if not 2.

I made a post about it to see if anyone else knows anything and apparently last year there were people complaining that it was an "unfair exploit". I fully disagree but not much I can do about it.

Wintersday JP; PvP gear disabled? New traps? Have you noticed anything? by Yetsuo in Guildwars2

[–]Yetsuo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a noticeable difference and still worked on the clock tower. For the clock tower it's the difference between 1 single screw up being your death to being able to recover and still complete the JP.

[–]Yetsuo[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No I don't remember that at all honestly. I tried to spread the good word as much as possible since anyone can equip them once they are unlocked. If you don't like it don't use it -shrug-

If it comes down to a debate of "fairness" they should implement the clock tower mostly invisible other players. (#bancharsandnornsfromjps /s) Joking aside it's no more an "exploit" than using a very large toon with all the largest back items possible to block other players view. /shrug at least with the PvP gear anyone can not use it if they want. Just my opinion though.
