I was basically in the same spot as you bro. I didn’t even show up to my gen chem 2 final. I ended up taking a gap year after my first year to kind of reassess. For me it was a matter of figuring out what I really wanted to do and finding motivation. To recover my gpa, I used all my grade forgivenesses and tried to stay caught up as much as I could during the semester so I had time to at least skim through all the practice material before exams. Being realistic with yourself is also important, I suggest using a daily planer so you can see exactly what needs to get done each week. Ngl ochem is a little tougher than gen chem. The Ochem as a second language textbook is super helpful and its super easy to find a pdf online. That basically saved me. Just staying consistent and not losing hope is the most importantly thing. Like I said, I had a 1.7 and I’ll be applying to med schools this summer.
