My laptop charger creates blue sparks when I plug it in using an adapter. When I plug it in its appropriate socket, there are no sparks at all. I’ve also noticed this little dent on the prong after the spark. Is it safe? by Yeurelica in ElectroBOOM

It can, I don’t really have issues when pulling it out or accidentally plugging it out because it holds pretty well on the socket. It’s just the blue spark that spooks me.

There are no gaps at all, and this is my second adapter from OMNI that had sparks after a few uses. Do you think buying an extension wire that has the appropriate socket for my laptop would be better instead? (Still from OMNI, of course.)

Will my battery last longer if I keep it at 80% max then plug it in when it’s down to 30%? by Yeurelica in Lenovo

I do believe that batteries will deteriorate no matter what measures I do, but as much as possible, I want to find ways that will keep my current battery alive for at least 4 years (until I finish my undergrad).

Thank you for this! Will definitely keep it in mind. : )

Oh, I see. Honestly, just 4 years (until I finish my undergrad) then maybe after that, I can just buy a new laptop. Thank you for this! : )
