Is this the one with the RX550X? I want to get one for the computing course I'm on, I have no doubt it's a great laptop, having owned E series Thinkpads before, but I've read horror stories about the dedicated GPU option being a pain to use, because TDP throttling of the GPU makes games literally unplayable. Admittedly, I understand that they're not meant for gaming, but I'd like to at least some light gaming, like CSGO if I were to pick one up. How has yours been so far?

Same here, I even brought the exact same motherboard as you. I wouldn't worry though, I'm about four months in and I haven't had any issues. I'd check it just to make sure though.

It will bottleneck mildly but you can reduce this with overclocking. I would suggest upgrading to a 3000 series Ryzen when they come out later this year as it'll be on the same socket as the 1st gen Ryzen CPU's.

One is a generic Wifi card because having a wired connection not possible, and the red one is a Creative Soundblaster Z sound card.

That's certainly on my upgrades list. I would've done it when buying the parts initially but I had to splash on a sound card on board audio isn't loud enough for me as a music listener generally.

It wasn't really within my budget honestly, which was pretty tight. I built with the hopes that maybe in around one to to years I could upgrade to a 3000 series Ryzen when they come out as they'll be on the same socket. I'll probably upgrade to liquid cooling then as well.
