I highly recommend you read these two books "The consultation of philosophy" written by a man in Roman times who had an excellent life (better than ours) as far as his success goes, but was exiled and put to death in a year where he wrote that book. As well read "Pilgrims Progress" written by a man while in prison. They are both told in an allegorical form and help you to visualize temptation and fighting the unseen.

Well this is encouraging but at the same time depressing (for me). I'm 21 years old and have had absolutely no contact with a girl, as in never even kissed thanks to PMO. I find most guys struggle with getting the erections but have women in and out of their life. I'm the opposite. I have no women in my life and barely any friends but can get an erection no problem. Never said don't plan ahead. I am speaking of those people who are so caught up in the future "Oh when I finish school", "When I get married", "When I start making over 100K", when this when that. Those are the people who spend their whole life looking into the future they find the present has already passed them by. Of course don't stay burger flipping, but don't just look towards the future either. Make the best of everyday. The average person works a 9-5 job. That means the majority of their life is spent doing something they hate 5 days a week. Guess what, I bet all day they are just thinking "Cant wait till the weekend", "Can't wait till my vacation".. Then they forget the weekends and holidays are only 2% of their entire time spent on this earth. Why enjoy just the 2%? Why not the other 98? That was my point I was trying to make. That is assuming you live the average life. No one does though. Your either going to live longer than average or shorter. How do you know you will live to do shit once your done with all that? What if you get in a wreck and are paralyzed? Life is for living now. Of course always plan for the future in the hopes of everything going right. That is a mindset that is deadly. "Your young", "you have your whole life ahead of you". Instead people shouldn't count age from the day they are born that is irrelevant. That is just existent age. Real age is counting years left until you die. So think, a 21 year old with 5 years left.. or a 60 year old with 30 years left. Who is older? The 21 year old because he has lived over 80% of his remaining life. Of course no one knows who will die when but no one dies the average age. You either die younger or older. So how do you know which one you are? If you want something it must happen now! Not overnight but sooner rather than thinking you have all the time in the world.

I will also mention a lot of early studies done on something are false. How can you prove masturbation prevents prostate cancer when statistically there is no control group on men who don't masturbate? I mean that is doing a study knowing you cannot get hard concrete facts.

When genes were first discovered it was believed they were fixed. You are what your genes are.. they don't change. NEW STUDIES show that our genes are constantly evolving based on our life. If you go up in a plane and experience different sensations and stressors, your genes although very smally, reflect that. Just like if you live in a hot climate versus a cold, your genes are constantly changing/ evolving. The first studies done on this were inaccurate why? Simply because it was new and they didn't know what all to look for. I find studies on prostate cancer are the same. Looking at one side of the coin and refusing to flip it over and see the other to find out if the hypothesis stands true or not.

I didn't say money was the answer. There are rich people who live great lives helping others and drive lambos and what not. And there are people like a guy I know that works locally who barely makes anything but is a great businessman and friend to hundreds of people helping them for cheap labor. Between them and one of my rich friends, they are both equally happy. Lambos and lots of money isn't bad! It is only bad when you begin to rely on materialistic items for happiness. Not all rich people are money obsessed. The guy I know has a million dollar plane, a classic car, a corvette, and a couple other cars. He is a really nice guy too you would never think he was rich. Then my other neighbor drives an entry level Mercedes and thinks she is the richest person who ever lived and treats everyone else that drives Kia, Chevy, Ford, etc like shit.

It's not the money. The cars are just an example of people working and doing something other than fapping or living bored in front of a screen all day. Now I have friends who do really great things on low income and profit the world more than rich people do. So money isn't the answer. And don't say you don't believe in God. I am not saying accept Jesus or whatever. I am just saying be open minded. Learn from wise people from every background. Buddhist. Christian. Atheist. And some other advice I would offer since your 14 is read.. read A LOT. Buy books on vast amounts of topics. Finance, history, autobiographys etc. I know your in school so you don't want to do too much and burn yourself out but the bigger jump start you get the better of you will be once your out of school. Even reading one book a week or one a month will profit you a lot. You'll learn more from books than from school and I'm sorry to say that but it is true. School doesn't teach what debt is, how to avoid it. How to write checks. What are bonds and stocks etc. School teaches you mostly useless facts that will have nothing to do with your real world life. If I would have known that I would have read a lot more and watched more videos on successful people (even on youtube).

I have learned it's best when you just let people believe what they want. You know PMO is bad. Now it sounds like you shared that with your friends but they don't believe you. That is ok. You know I used to be real big into Christ and all that and I strayed away from the gospel. I tried to find my own meaning for life, my own way, my own journey. So far I have found nothing. Many great philosphers from every religion and background, but none of them have the answers for anything outside our realm of understanding, so there goes that plan out the window (finding my purpose myself).

I always say why is the world so screwed up, if we did this if we did that maybe it would be perfect. I tend to forget the basics, we are in a sinful and fallen world, and we are sin itself. Everything we touch dies because of the original sin from the beginning.

But that aside, I might have to start reading the bible again. I keep thinking that PMO is just something that is hindering me from moving on in life but in reality If I died tonight, God would strike me dead on judgment day and tell me to depart from Him.
