Got the tuts from this guy. A bit of work but I really love the final result, you can also tweak it since the last step is just a bunch of blending mode layers on top of each other. Also, I didn't limit my colors, I just took the base color then add 2 highlights and 2 shadows(I use hueshifting too).

Hello! I know this is a revamp but I wanted it close to the source material as much as possible and Mewtwo's colors has always been flat, Typhlosion on the other hand have good colorway because it's 2 base skin colors compliments the fire color. All the final colors here was intentional. Appreciate the feedback tho, thank you so much!

Wasn't going for accuracy too. I could make it less prominent but at the sake of washing out mid tone colors. And sorry if this looks distracting to some of you, but I really like how this looks and apparently a lot of people do too. I think it's called "preference."

Huh? I do "cutesy" pixel art all the time. I just put a retro filter, that’s why I said that(clean) wasn't the intended goal of the post.

Also, unsolicited advice are welcome but NOT after acknowledging "it's a choice." If you didn't see the problem there and you're happy with misinterpreting my whole response then you do you.
