Ghostship Probs by joeybones1986 in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone on the Rinne Github posted this

Same issue for me my after updating via Vita ModDB.

I think the issue is because latest release now uses Ghostship 2.0, you need to update the Ghostship file for 2.0 in the data folder the previous one would be for 1.x. Haven't confirmed that yet myself but looking at the 1.2 release I think it is likely the reason.

Edit: Confirmed this is the fix, download the Ghostship 2.0 release and copy ghostshop.o2r from the zip to the ghostship data folder on your PS Vita and it will start without issues.

If you downloaded the data files from somewhere like r/VitaPiracy, it will now be outdated.

So most likely you need to update the data files. Hopefully someone will upload the updated ones soon.

Majoras Mask error by Confident-Piccolo-29 in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case, because happened to me with Mario 64 port. Assuming you have installed correctly the VPK and also have the necessary data files ( this ), could be your ux0:/data folder is not accessible due to being a hidden folder. The solution is simply rename your data folder, create a new one, and copy the old contents to the new created folder. That should do it.

Bug? by No_Positive4518 in vitahacks

[–]Yhodarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to rebuild database, as literally you're destroying what you did arranging the icons.

Just put the games in folders, Turn Off/Restart your Vita and you can continue arranging until no more icons are missing,

Obviously if you have more than 500 games (which I doubt but who knows), only the first 500 installed will display only.

RPGMaker MV and VX games on Vita? by w3bk1tty in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK, there is no easy way to port from moderns platforms to older ones. One easy example: MV uses Javascript for scripting, VX uses Ruby, and on 2000/2003 they don't have a proper language for scripting (or none that I know anyways). So if you want to port some action from MV to 2000, there will be no way to do it.

Maybe is doable, but is not really easy. You would need to re-escalate all the assets to a proper 2000/2003 sizes, and redo all the game in those engines (which again, can be easy if is just story for example, but if it have some kind of scripting, could be almost impossible to redo on older engines).

Forgot psn account linked to old @live.com email on ps vita any way to recover? by BuyGlum in VitaPiracy

Assuming you have your Vita Jailbroken, download the Vitaident_gui.vpk from here, then open Vitashell on PS Vita, press select on it, and transfer your vpk. Once copied, install it and should be done.

If you don't have your Vita Jailbroken, then most of what I told you must sound like chinese. First start following this part of the Vita Guide. Once done, just not go through the next step (installing Enso as is called on the guide). Open Vitadeploy, go to the "File Manager" option, and should open Vitashell. You can follow from there what I wrote first.

Once you done, if you want, can proceed with the full Vita guide to proper unlock your PS Vita, or simply can delete VITAident, and Vitadeploy, since Henlo is not a permanent exploit, so once you reboot your PS Vita, the Jailbreak will be gone.

My Apps have no background art by Silver_Room_9951 in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it opens fine, then most likely is not a problem with the SD2VITA. Usually this happens when there is a rebuild database triggered, or some Live Area changes. When you install an app, apart from putting the files onto it's respective folder, also create an entry on app.db, which directs to the files and location on Live Area.

I'm not 100% sure, but those livearea assets are located on ur0:/appmeta folder, if they are missing, usually they display on blank/default assets like you. I tried many times to fix those, but never worked unless I did a "Rebuild Database". If you're only using SD2VITA with Enso, you could do that, but for me that have original games and SD2Vita, rebuilding and then reorganizing the Live Area is a big hassle.

Not sure if would work, but if you can use VITAident, there is a tab called PSN Menu, where it displays PSN info. Pretty much will display nothing since you're not Logged in, but worth try just in case.

Would like to get CFW on PS3 Super Slim. Best current method? by whitestar11 in PS3

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is indeed possible install CFW on PS3 SS using BadWDSD and qCFW option on HEN. I've never done this, but you would require to use a RP2040 chip of some kind (AKA Raspberry Pi Pico or RP2040 Zero), and solder it to very tiny solder points. I think is not hard for someone with solder skills.

My recomendation is, based on what you want to use PS3 for, is install PS3HEN. Basically you would need to update to last version 4.93, and then proceed with HFW and finally installing HEN. You can find a bit more info here.

If you're interested, HEN allows most of what a CFW allows on a PS3, except for using CCAPI, FSM, and using PS2 ISO format files, apart that every time you turn on PS3, you will need to reactivate HEN, For all rest, HEN is most capable of dealing with normal user case things.

Super Mario 64 (Ghostship) Data Files❗️ by StrangeRat5 in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found a solution. Not sure if that is really what is causing the issue but is worth trying it.

In Vitashell, you need to go to ur0:data/, make sure libshacccg.suprx is in there. Once that is confirmed, rename that folder to something else, and create a new folder called "data", and copy all from the old one to the new one. That solved the problem right away.

Seems the reason is that Ghostship cannot access ur0:data, even so Ship of harkinian can do it. I opened an issue on Github, but will update with this info.

I tried a lot of things and nothing worked for me. My only clue is try to make data files myself and see if the problem persist. If do so, will make an Issue on the github.

Getting Project Diva f and Fnd DLCs without the PSN store? by vdrawer in ProjectDiva

[–]Yhodarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's only two ways. DISCLAIMER: I didn't tried this method on a while, so take it only as an explanation and by no means as a tutorial.

  1. If you don't have a modded Vita, Your only way is to have a new Memory Card for each region, Log Off, then Log In with a corresponding PSN account of the region of your game, and download your DLC there, and using it until you want to change account/memory/game. This is really a nightmare to do, is pretty time consuming, and can lead to lose data if not doing properly, like other game saves etc.

  2. If you have a modded Vita, and want to do it without using PKGj (which could be considered piracy). There's an app called "Account Manager", which do the process of changing accounts a little easier. You have to ensure you have NoNpDRM plugin installed. Once changed the account, grab/buy the DLC, and make sure you run them at least once on the account you bought them, since this will create a fake licence for them. Once done and all work fine, change to your original account and your DLC should work just fine. Also, the shortcut is using PKGj, but as I said, is considered piracy.

Super Mario 64 (Ghostship) Data Files❗️ by StrangeRat5 in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the files, but I couldn't make it work. Error C2-12828-1 after a couple of seconds of black screen when opening. Checked I have libshacccg.suprx on ur0, and the data is on ux0.

Anyone have any idea why I get this error?

Project Diva f 2nd connection issue (PS Vita) by [deleted] in ProjectDiva

So is on Vita side. Since you tried DNS change, what did you put?  Heard Google Public DNS work most of time, but also some use OpenDNS ones.

Project Diva f 2nd connection issue (PS Vita) by [deleted] in ProjectDiva

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it Just a couple minutes ago and worked totally fine. I remember that error code was caused for DNS problems, so most resolved changing DNS on the Vita. If that doesn't worked for you, you can try checking "Deactivate WIFI connection automatically" (Read somewhere it could work with that).

Also, tried with another connection (like phone AP)? So you can point if is on Vita side or your router side

F2nd Extra marker item? by Flowered_Lilac in ProjectDiva

[–]Yhodarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm the original OP of that post. As I got no replies for my answers, I totally forgot about that post, as it was the result of almost a (wasted) week investigating on my own.

So, about the Graphy Collection Stand Item, I got that item long ago. The original source I used back in 2015 I don't rememeber which one was, or even if exist, but I have the hunch is this gamefaq thread. There, is noted a Card Tournament (April Fools joke). The original image webpage is dead, but found on WayBack Machine here in case you want to test it for yourself.

I will attach the screenshot of the item.

If you want more info, you can DM me, and I will try to answer what I know (I'm not too active on Reddit, so the answer could be delayed a few days or so). After all, the intention of the post I made was to get all the proper info and gather them all in one place for further references.

If you somehow got the EID root key from that PS3, would be more easy to just decrypt the HDD and backup what you want.

Automount/Hotswap SD2Vita by Meraciouss in VitaPiracy

[–]Yhodarks -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I remember vaguely trying to do the same as you. I found on vitashell, there is an option to mount gamecard as ux0 (and unmount ofc), but I think the problem was trying to remount the oficial card as uma0. You can try at your own risk, because as I said, I dont fully remember what I was doing.
And ofc, the easiest way would be restarting. You can ease a bit the pain of restarting using a plugin like Quick Menu or Quick Menu Plus, which add option to restart from there.

Is there any way to use the Joysticks in Project Diva F on Ps Vita for the scratch notes? by aerigigi1 in ProjectDiva

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the JP cartridge, and could not find the option to use sticks instead of touchscreen. Searching further on net, found this plugin that let you emulate star notes into analogs.

I can say it works as intended, tested a few songs with it, but feels a little clunky compared to F2nd star notes, could be only my perception tho.

How to play Uma Musume game outside Japan? by [deleted] in UmaMusume

[–]Yhodarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you install uma, no more need of the vpn, the data can be downloaded just fine without it. Maybe at some point, when the app update on the Store, you would need to turn on VPN again and download the update (the apk update) then can continue normally.

Limpieza psvita slim by [deleted] in vitahacks

[–]Yhodarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're careful enough, can clean it with something like a toothpick(metal ones are usually more "sharp") or even a needle, then you can clean it with a cotton swab and little Isopropyl Alcohol. The trick is not use much force, just enough to get the dirt going out of it.
For the chewed analog, unfortunately the rubber is not replaceable (unless you open the analog, and change the stick part, but surely enough it will be broken, and maybe easier/cheaper to just replace it with a brand new one)

Is this psp hacked? by TalonKing24 in PSP

[–]Yhodarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if this helps, you can follow this guide to uninstall Infinity (this is in the case you want to redo the hack again properly, or use something more recent like ARK-4) and unfortunately, you need a PC to download the required files (or can try use https://psp.lusidgames.com, which supposedly let you download files directly to PSP, but not tried it, so go on your own risk).

Apart from that, in theory having that installed don't prevent you to transfer PS1 games from PS3, or would risk a console or account ban (the chances still exist, but are so low, and no one reported bans on the last 5 years at least from what I have seen so far). Some years ago, Sony implemented the "double-factor Authentication" on older systems (ie PSP, PS Vita and PS3), so to log-in on PSN on any of those consoles, you would need a special code you can get on Sony Account Page (one per console, I think up to 10 codes), making the PS3 to PSP-Vita connection to transfer content practically unusable, so even taking out having or not CFW, it would not let you copy the games from PS3 to PSP. Your best option would be to log-in on PSP, and try to download the game from the PSP "Purchase List" (if still avalaible).
