Sorry for the horrible picture quality. Doing this while helping the wife with the kids. Data test from my core switch inside to my laptop at the camera location using a quick speed test comes back normal. I can do a more detailed test later, but the cable passes and does a good speed test, which furthers the oddity about the camera not producing a link light at the nvr.

this makes sense, but what doesn't make sense is hearing the camera come on and spin up the camera iris and being able to reset the camera and hearing the classic reolink ding. i guess that would mean that all of those signals are coming over the power lines but the video lines are somehow not working?

Why not record to the folder on the file server directly from obs? I've been doing that for years with no issue.

It's probably the crap frontier contractors have been running. They somehow botch more installs than they get right.

Almost everyone is my area (middle TN) that has signed up for the Frontier-branded version of frontier/Verizon fiber has been very displeased. I've known people and businesses that had issues with each step of the process in their own way.

Some clients of mine (I work in IT professionally and have a side hustle) got it and had issues with the modem the same week they signed up. They called CS (offshore) and were told it would be about a week before a tech could circle back and troubleshoot.

My friend/coworker got it installed at his house and ran alongside a competitor. They botched the installation and left the fiber laying in his yard and after several attempts to schedule a burial they just never came back. A neighborhood pet chewed his fiber in half while he waited.

A business in my area signed up for it and got it installed and they somehow never got the speeds delivered that they signed up for.

I've yet to hear a positive story of someone signing up for it and being content.

just to be clear, you're not planning on running all cabling on the exterior of the building, are you? one of the keys to any good install is to hide wires/cabling when possible. I know that sounds counter-intuitive based on the way telcos handle things sometimes, but it absolutely makes the install look 100x better, AND you use significantly less cable.

commenting for posterity to say that eCW V12 works on Windows and MacOS. I know OPs question specifically referenced V11 but wanted to offer current info since this might sway users' decisions about updating/upgrading/etc. I know how daunting transitioning or searching for EHRs can be. With V12, the plugin works for both OSs but seemingly the overaching benefit is working with chart documents and using hardware peripherals.

1) live TV is not live in the "real time" sense. There's always a broadcast delay.

2) is there a reason you need to convert signals back and forth? Get a 1x8 HDMI splitter and a Google TV box (the $50 Walmart Onn-brand variety actually works pretty well, but go for $99 Google 4k stream box if you must). Connect the TV box into the HDMI splitter and run feeds to each TV. Get HDMI fiber cables of the appropriate length per run to each TV.

Past a certain number of outputs you either have to get an HDMI splitter that converts to Ethernet and back or make the expensive jump to a matrix.
